"Sorry..." Dahni's head hung. Even though I've been to that tv world..

"You don't have to apologize." said Tamaki quickly, "In a sense it's good that you don't know how to fight. It means you've never had to be in a fight, right? As for you, I can see how that would be tough fighting against your girlfriend, but if you're slow...yeah, we can do something about that."

"Like what? If it involves guns im kicking your ass in a way you've never imagined." Masuyo said

Tamaki shook his head, "Nope. No guns. Not my thing. First let's get you started with some sprints. From the front door to...that corner." He pointed to the corner in front of the street.

A menu and a female wire-frame appear behind Kentaro. "Please select your mode of operations."

"Hmm. Now that's what I programmed.... But then what are you? You didn't attack right away so if you're a Shadow you're a new one." Kentaro takes a step back his hands hovering over one of the bags he was carrying.

"Fuck. I hate running." Masuyo said as he began to run

"...Should I run too?" Dahni asked.

"..My name is Amy." She held her hand out. "And no, I'm not a shadow, I'm a person. What are you doing exactly?"

Masuyo finished his running as instructed.

"Can we move on to something that will actually help me now?" he complained gasping for air. "And how the fuck many more strokes do you have to do Karin?"

"Just...about...done! Phew!" Karin wiped the sweat off her forehead. "What's next, Aniki?"

"Alright then," Tamaki took a shinai that was leaning on the appartment wall. "I'm beginning to think you're the type who learns best through experience, Masuyo. You want in too, Karin?"

"Yes, Sir!"

"Excellent. Now Dahni, I want you to find something you'd like to use as a weapon. Something you're comfortable with and feel most confident in your abilities with." instructed Tamaki before taking a stance, "As for you two, come."

"Hm?" Masuyo said following Tamaki.

"N-no. I mean 'Come at me,'" Tamaki explained. Do people say it different nowadays? Oh God how long was I locked up?

"Okay..." Dahni walked away, feeling a bit left out. Something I'm familiar with... "Well, I did take that volleyball. I can't very well use a game system.."

"Well this isnt gonna be pretty." Masuyo said seeing Tamaki hold a sword. "Whatever. Now or never or something!" he said as he ran at Tamaki but slower than usual afraid of what techniques he could have

"Amy huh? I could ask you the same thing. You'll forgive me if I don't shake your hand. As ironic as it is coming from me this isn't exactly a place to make new friends."

"...Well, that's a good point." She kneeled down and looked at the electronics he placed. "What is this gizmo anyway?"

"Please don't touch that. Until I figure out who or even what you are, I'll have to treat any attempts to approach me or my stuff as an act of hostility. If you're able to remain calm while here in the Shadow world, I assume this train of thought is not foreign to you."

Kentaro is still on guard his hand still hovering near his bag.

"To put it another way back up or else."

"Of course." She raised her hands and backed away. "I'm not looking for trouble. But, may I still ask what exactly you're doing here? It's rare to see someone just hanging out."

"That's exactly what I'm doing. Hanging out and playing some video games." Kentaro says pointing at the menu screen. "Your turn. What's a foreigner doing in the TV?"

"Video games? In a place like this? I find that hard to believe...Come to think of it, I never got your name." Amy folded her arms, keeping in a relaxed stance. "As for me, I moved to Japan a month or two back. ...Plus, who knows if this place even has designated areas for countries...Or even if it exists elsewhere..."

"Whether you believe it or not I did come to play video games. My name's Toshiyuki." Kentaro is still trying to get a read on the strange girl.

"...Is it now?" She took a step back. "...So why play video games here, where shadows could get at you, and not in your house?"

"Thanks Nene..." Maeko mumbled getting up, dusting herself off. She took another defensive stance, waiting for Chisaki to make another move.

It was subtle but I think she reacted to the name Toshiyuki. At the very least she can tell it's not my real name.

"I am in my house as far as I can tell. Let's just say I'm a spoiled rich kid with a thing for games. And you? What are you doing wandering around 'where the shadows could get at you'?"

"Playing hide and seek." She responded. "Figured no one would find me in here."

"Who're you hiding from?"
