Persona 4 RP Phase 2

Kitao was buying some things at the Shiroku convenience store, "Man, He told me get whatever I wanted." He looked at some snacks, "But I'm not sure what I want." He pulled a list from his bag, "Might as well as just save the money for some supplies. He did tell to just keep the change." He started grabbing the things his Uncle asked him to get before school.

Masuyo entered the convenience store and began to look around for a few spices. "Maybe I should get some biscuts to make......cant risk her not liking seafood or not eating meat or something. I'll grab some more OJ too. And some eggs!" he shouted happily in the seemingly empty store.

Kitao jumped up slightly in surprise. "...wait a minute," He whispered. He thought for a moment. He dropped something to point at Masuyo and yelled, "I KNOW YOU!" He then grabbed his mouth and thought to himself. "Really Kitao? You have to stop that..." He then said slightly shakily, "I mean! Hi! Do you remember me? From that Rise concert thing?"

"Not good," Karin crossed her arms as she stood in front of the school, "Maeko wasn't by the river, and I didn't see Yomi or even Masu along the way. They may've just gotten here before me, but..." If I knew this was gonna happen, I'd've just gone to the apartment. Dammit, what now?

Maeko found her usual spot at the river bank, she couldnt help but smile slightly. She set up her things and baited her line before casting it out. Normally I'd kill for it to be this quiet, but after knowing the others for so long, and knowing what's really going on.. Maeko thought to herself, her mind starting to wander.

"Oh hey you're that graffiti boy." Masuyo said. "Yeah I remember you. Sorry Im kinda busy at the moment though." he said barely giving Kitao any attention. "Ok this'll be all ma'm." he said sitting his items on the counter.

"That'll be 2300 yen." the old woman said. Masuyo threw 3000 yen at her and ran out of the store.

"Ok time to see if she's at that spot yet." Masuyo said as he ran to the riverbank

The lady at the counter yelled after Masuyo, "Your change, boy!" Kitao looked at her and said, "I'll get it to him! Here." He payed for his stuff, "Thanks!" He did a wave and ran after Masuyo.

"H-hey!" Masuyo shouted at Maeko as he ran down towards her. He panted a few times out of fatigue. "C-can you teach me how to fish really fast? I need to bring some breakfast back for Yomi's mother. I need to impress her!" he said to her desperately

"..." Maeko looked at him quietly, slightly confused. So he's waiting til last minute? Figures.. "Alright, here. If you're serious about this. fishing takes alot of time, so I'll make this brief." Maeko reeled in her line and unbaited it, she hesitated a bit befre handing the fishing rod to Masuyo. "Bait it, cast it, wait, reel it, catch it. Go."

Masuyo grabbed a piece of bait and quickly pu tit on the hook. He threw the line out onto the water and slammed his butt onto the ground and stared intently at the water with an intense look. Silently.

"...." Rodrigo walked down the stairs of the apartment building, scratches on his cheek. "...Something going on today?"

Damn, he actually is serious... Maeko thought as she watched Masuyo, smirking slightly. She crossed her arms and turned to the fishing bob float on the water's surface. "If you see that go underwater, reel."

Kitao caught up to Masuyo at the riverbank, "HEEEEEYY!! YOU FORGOT YOUR CHANGE!" He ran up to the pair and said, "Oh you guys fishing?" He shook his head slightly, "Wait, your change. You forgot it dude." He held out the 700 yen for Masuyo.

"GYWAAAGH!" Masuyo shouted freaking out. "Oh.....thanks." he said taking the money. He handed it to Maeko. "For the lesson. By the way this guy is an old acquaintance. We met him with Tsubasa and Nene on a trip this past summer."


"The lovebirds have a parental trial to pass today." Chiaki said reading the newspaper. "Hows everything with you? It'll be nice to speak with an adult for a change." she said looking up from her paper.

"..." Maeko's head perked up and she turned around, scowling at the man holding out the change. "...You...know him? Hm?" She turned to Masuyo who hander her who money."...Thanks. You..." Maeko said turning her glare back to the man.

"Meet the parents eh? Glad I never got that far with a girl." Rodrigo laughed. He gestured to a seat. "May I?" After receiving a nod, he sat down. "Things are good with me. Thank you for taking me in by the way. I appreciate it. We didn't get to discuss it before, but how much is rent? As much as I enjoy the hospitality, I don't like taking advantage of good people." He smiled.

"Normally its about 77 thousand Yen a month.......but you're helping those children in their little dangerous endeavors. So i'll make it 50 thousand for you." she said to Rodrigo with a smile. "You look like a coffee man, would you like a cup?" she asked.


"Yeah. He's an alright guy." Masuyo said to Maeko. He felt a tug on the line. "Oh shit!" he pulled the rod back to hook the fish. "I got one I got one!" he shouted as he began to reel.

At first he backed up a bit from the glare, "Just be nice Kitao. That's what Auntie said..." He then recovered his composure and smiled. "Hi I'm Kitao!" He did a little wave. "Nice to meet you! Are you guys big fishing buffs? I don't see anyone out around here this early usually."

"He's lucky he didnt scare the catch with that damn shouting.." MAeko grumbled quietly, still glaring at him before turning her attention to Masuyo. "Lean it back as you reel."

Maeko didnt turn back to Kitao as she replied, "He's learning."

"Yeah." Masuyo responded as he leaned back. "Honestly this is my first time but this IS pretty fun. Nene wasnt lying or pretending when she was all hyped up telling me how fun it could be." he pulled a fish out of the water. "Hah! Theres one!" he said triumphantly. "Not too bad huh?" he asked Maeko

"Actually, I would prefer tea if you have it." He smiled wryly. "But coffee is fine if it's easier. Rent is due at the end of the month, correct?" He nodded to himself. "Well, if there's anything I can do to help fix this place up, don't hesitate to ask. I was out on the road for a little while with a friend who was no good with tools. So I'm basically an engineer prodigy." He laughed.

Hm..Nene. Maeko smilied for a moment before turning her attention to Masuyo's catch. "It's just a red goldfish, dont get too excited. But not bad for a first."

He laughed and said, "Oh nice! But yea I had to make sure I got him his change. Didn't know I was scaring the fish. Sorry."

"Well that makes two then." Chiaki said with a laugh. "My childhood friend, we call him Banchou, he fixed up the place to the way it is now. Unfortunately he and Masu-chan kinda destroy it on a weekly basis but at least I have free renovations!" she said with a smile. "Also we have all kinds of tea. He doesnt like telling people about it but Masu-chan enjoys collecting all sorts of different types of tea." she says as she opens a cabinet revealing at least 20 tins of different kinds of tea. "Have a specific type you like? Im sure we have it. And yes, its due at the end of the month but no charge for you this month, it would be unfair since you just got in on the 30th."


"Hey dont underestimate the little guy! He could be tastier than the big ones." Masuyo replied to Maeko. "Thanks anyways." he said with a goofy smile. "Two more!" he said as he re-baited the rod and cast out.

"Humph." Of course. No one ever knows. Maeko thought at Kitao's comment.
"Hah, goldfish arent exactly a delicacy, but whatever floats your boat I suppose." Maeko replied to Masuyo, shrugging and smirking. She turned back to Kitao and her smirk faded. "Are you done here?"
