Persona 4 RP Story/Dungeon

"You're...kidding right?" Kurou stared at the shadow in disbelief.

"What the fuck? How does a human have no soul?" Masuyo scratched his head

"This shadow is very very strange then," Rai said, "That or Kishin is more complex than we thought."

Shinta pondered Masuyo's question, That all depends on how you define "soul."

"Okay." said Kishin. "And what the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"It means what I said."

"HEY DON'T DO THAT! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN!?"

"Oh? I've struck a nerve, it seems."

"No one cares, freak. You and your stupid little hat can go straight to hell."

"You don't like my awesome helmet? Fine then."
The Shadow threw his helmet off the side of the carrier.

The Shadows the group had encountered had glowing yellow eyes.
This one did not. Its eyes were completely black.

Shinta looked into the shadow's eyes "Definitely got a bad feeling about this."

"This is bad," Rai said thinking, "This shadow seems to almost be amplified into the most negative forms of emotions or something to that effect."

"Take into consideration I've been sucked into a TV fought a shadow doppleganger of myself and summoned a Persona when I say this is the most jacked up thing I've seen yet."

Masuyo felt a chill go down his spine.

"Thats..........horrifying........."

"You're good at devising strategies, aren't you?" said the Shadow. "You can read your opponents' moves and react. And you've done so much planning that you've realized that everyone is predictable in the same ways..."

Kishin appeared to be ignoring this.

The Shadow continued. "Everything you do, you do for one reason- for your own happiness."

"Nope," said Kishin. "I do stuff for other people."

"But only because doing things for people improves your own life in different ways. You wouldn't bother if there was nothing in it for yourself."

"Nope," Kishin replied. "I give stuff to people that need it sometimes. I don't expect nothing back."

"But you're doing that because your conscience is telling you to, and if you didn't, you'd feel bad. Again, you're doing it only to improve your own life."

Rai tried to maintain his cool, "Remain calm and focus on something else till your fear leaves then confront your obstacle," was something his father had taught him in reguards to self defense, quickly Rai thought of Reika sitting on a bench on a spring day during the time the sakura flowers bloomed and were whirling around her. "Alright, I really think this is going to be difficult."

"Is this the part with all the epilepsy?"

"He's..." Shinta trailed off.

"Hey Rai! Stop Spacing out!" Masuyo said pointing at the shadow and its increasing dark aura

"So, when presented with any choice at all, you'll always pick the one that you think is the best for you. In other words, your behavior is one hundred percent selfish at all times, and predictable as well. And it's the same for everyone."

"Nope. That doesn't sound right at all. You're wrong." Kishin was oblivious to all but his Shadow at this point.

"Lies will get you nowhere. Put it out of your mind all you want, it's always there. It's the truth, and it's absolutely what you believe. I know this, because I'm you, of course."

"And here it comes," Shinta materialized his card.

Rai sighed, "I did not space out I was trying to think of something to remain calm I know what's going on." he hefted his spear up and held it one handed in the central part of the shaft.

"He said it. Get ready guys." Masuyo said bracing himself for anything

Kishin appeared to be thinking hard.

"Nope. That's not right. It sounds all messed up. Something's not right...it's not right..."

"It's the truth and you know it."

"That's not...something has to be...RRRRRRRGGGHHH!
I've had enough of you! Stop saying those messed up things with my face...my voice! I'd never believe something that stupid!"

The Shadow grinned.

"You just lost the game."

"Here it comes," Rai said getting ready sliding his card into his hand while preparing his spear.

"Here we go guys!" Masuyo said preparing for the shadow's transformation

The Shadow exploded in a whirlwind of what smelled like burning charcoal.
It formed a cloud that was a big as a small house.

When the debris cleared, a monstrous figure had taken the Shadow's place.



"I AM A SHADOW...THE TRUE SELF."

"I WILL TAKE GREAT PLEASURE...IN ENDING YOUR MEANINGLESS LIVES."

Kurou jumped back.

"Holy Shit..."

Shadow Kishin immediately opened its mouth and blew a massive jet of flame at the group in front of it.

Shinta rolled out of the flames and rematerialized his card, "Alright then, Sukukaja!" With a stroke the card shattered as Angel appeared and casted a familiar light down upon Shinta. "Even if you know my moves, if you can't keep up it's meaningless."
