Yeah, they're both super to ground. And the apparently represent Yin and Yang.
They don't really look like Fire/Dragon, Electric/Dragon. I was expecting Flying or Phychic/Dragon and Dark or Rock/Dragon.

Makes me wonder what the trio's gonna be like.

I thought DPPt had wierd designs. These don't even look remotely like pokemon. What the fuck is wrong with the Isshu region? That looks like a cat was grafted to a christmas tree. These are the sewer mutants of pokemon. At least the first set of released pics looked remotely reminiscent of the Hoenn art style. I'd given up on seeing good old fashioned fire breathing versions of real animals, but come on! And the saddest part of my life is I'm practically shittin myself w/ anticipation for this game. For the love of God it better not be 3DS only, 'cause I might not be able to afford one in time and my DSi's less than a year old. Also as if the metagame wasn't hard enough. I've just barely worked out competetive battling and now your throwing half your team at me! How many types do I have to cover man?!

Trust me Red, I KNOW YOUR PAIN. I'm the most open to new styles. Almost everyone I know hates all pokemon past Gold-Silver, but I love the RSE pokemon, and the DPPt ones too. But these, I have no hope for. Zoark was acceptable. The starters were kind of stupid, but they had some hope. The bird and the croc were alright. But now it's just going to shit. They aren't pokemon anymore. They're digimon/yugioh monsters mashed with pokemon.

And 3 on 3 battles? HOW THE FUCK. Do they REALIZE how much fucking trouble that would be? How would that work? How many moves would they have to adjust? How much scaling down would there be? Would it even be fun anymore? Having one pokemon ganged up on by 3 faster pokemon would wreck any tank's ability to tank. Pokemon stats would have to be monstrous. Older generations are falling behind before this game is even out. How would multi-target moves work? Will they just hit 5 out of 6 pokemon? How much time would that take?!? And if they make it so it only his 2 or so pokemon, how would that be decided? Will there be formations for the 3 on 3? Surf can only hit 2 pokemon, but it has to hit the middle pokemon(you can't have it split in two directions, it's a wave)? So many questions. So little answers.

But one thing is certain. This isn't pokemon anymore.

yeah, im not even gonna bother trying to get into this one. like, competetive wise. 3 on 3 just sounds too fucking clusterfuck for me. doubles are enough of a pain in the ass, but TRIPLES? No. They're trying too hard, unless it somehow comes out to be something mindblowingly amazing, but im not holding my breath. I'll stick with SoulSilver to play for real. I'll probably R4 this (not gonna buy this.) just to play through it once and see some of the new things for myself, and of course, pokemon always has good music at least. Pity that I probably wont be abel to put in the whole 7 pokemon i'll probably like in HG/SS to use in real battles.

BTW:Theres a Jirachi wifi event going on ATM for US D/P/Pt/HG/SS. For the JPN versions, theres a wifi event where you get the scizor of some guy in an upcoming pokemon movie in japan.

I'm pretty sure event pokemon come with specific natures. For instance, all surf Pikachu's have a serious nature or something.
