So I'm playing Argarest War

So, the entire intro sequence is you fighting and trying to protect this elven girl. Eventually you get flanked by a Tank, and he beats you like you were nothing.

Then you die and this girl who I think is Satan says: "Give me your soul and the souls of your offspring, and I'll save your life." Personally, I'd be a bit skeptical, but Leonhardt eagerly accepts, not thinking of his unborn children's children, but whatever, it's either a life of servitude for them, or non-existence, so I guess it's a coin toss.

Eventually you reunite with the elven girl, and they have a joyous collaboration, with Satan girl and a thing that looks like a cross between Beast of the X-men, and a gargoyle.

So Leonhardt says: "You know, I don't even know your name."

And then the elven girl says: "Me? My name is Ellis."

.....

Ellis

ELLIS?!


ELLIS!?!?!?!

!?!?!?!?!



Needless to say this killed any attachment I had, or will have to the character for the entire rest of the game. Way to go Lionheardt. You sacrificed your soul and your children's soul, and your children's children's soul, because you had to fight to save Ellis.

And as if to Spite me, Lionheardt says: "Ellis...that's a nice name." Then as if to make up for it, Ellis does a cutesy pose and says: "I'll help you get through this forest~! Kawaiii~~~~~~"

And I say: "No thanks. I'll go get eaten by a bear now."

Luckily I at least have Satan girl who's a nice peace of eye candy and also thankfully not named something like Ellis.

It could only be worse if she was named "Shirley" or "Brick."

And onward we go. Satan, Beast, myself, and Ellis.....

what? you didnt know her name is ellis? lol. I have no issue with it since I know its menat to be interpreted in japanese as Erisu which is girlier than Ellis. so no issues here. that and they SPEAK japanese in the game so ur hearing Erisu, not ellis

Still. IT puts me off enough to not want to date her.

not that I was really that interested in her anyway. But whateves.

I started it on hard and really regretted doing so.

I started playing this today and all I am going to say is..... speed in this game is god in this.

Also I do not have an issue with the name Erisu, its not that bad.

Heck I didn't even notice her name in english was Ellis, I was too busy listening to the japanese.
