No, no specific date yet as far as I know. Just Spring 2011, I'm guessing March though.

Also, I found out that the sprites indeed DO move on the not DSi version of the game in a kotaku article.

HEYYYY so it came out today : o

My brother and I are in competition in going through it right now. As of this post I'm 5 hours in and have 2 badges.

Started with Snivy.

It certainly did!

I made sure to start with the worst best starter this gen: Oshawott.
Because playing as a loser a super cool guy is cool.

I'm in competition with my brother too, but he spent a good hour making his signature all pretty, so it isn't much of a contest at this point.

I got a badge. Yay

Overall, it's a pretty damn good installment in the pokermons franchise.
I'm trying to avoid seeing ANY information about the game I don't already know, though. Especially the level 3 version of Oshawott.
If it goes from being a doofy-looking thing to an awesome titan of destuction, I want that to be a surprise, dammit!

And finally:

Zero and I got them today. I'm about to start playing it, I plan on choosing Snivy.

I'm guessing most people are going to start with Snivy. My brother is, too.

That makes sense because Snivy is clearly the best Pokemon. Hell, his idle pose is to cross his arms and tap his foot impatiently.
This is because he's waiting for the opponent's worthless turn to end so he can ruin their shit.

That's partly why I picked the water-type starter-it means the rival picked Snivy, and Snivy makes a pretty good rival Pokemon.

Anyways, I'm gonna see what other people chose to start with.

I'm considering getting it. But I'm still debating.

For one, I don't like most of the new pokemon. And I'm getting kinda tired of pokemon plotlines and all their new weird gameplay stuff.

On the other hand, it's not like they took stuff OUT that I enjoyed. All the old pokemon are still there, as is the whole gym battle thing.

Right now I'm still undecided, but I am leaning a bit toward getting it, because the forum as of late has been pretty dead. And we need a game to sort of unify us all again. Before we had L4D and TF2, but those kinda died out.

Catherine and Graces are coming out this year, but Catherine's still a bit of a wait, and Graces we have no clue about yet.

SO.

I'm torn.

Advice?

I might get this but I already know that if I do it's only for the single player experience since my wi-fi isn't DS friendly encryption wise. That and there is at least another game for the DS that I am interested in getting.

I like it a lot, and I hate grindy RPGs. And this is a very, very grindy RPG.

It's tougher than most Pokemon games. Spamming attack actually doesn't work as well!

And uh...I'd say more things but im tired. Gyms great animations great new pokemon are pretty good actually storylines not too bad dcjwfjwfzzz

I love Black&White so far. It's much better than I gave it credit for. (I love how they gave team plasma some kinda 14th-15th century approach)
I love the battle animations too. But can TMs really be used over and over? Everyone in the game keeps saying it, but it's against the Pokemon law I'm so used to. Lol.

And like Catbread said, it's not too spammy.

I'm hesitant to import pokemon though. No items? SUCKS.

A janitor threw a bag of trash at me.

The bag fell in love with my Pokemon.

Then they slapped each other in the face repeatedly until I won.

I was given the Exp. Share as my reward.

This is the best game ever.


Also Oshawott evolved into a ninja that cuts people with seashells for gigantic amounts of damage.
Looks like I made the right decision!


Oh, one more thing: if you have Victini unlocked you can K.O. it and it'll keep respawning until you catch it. Great for XP.

lol, they used to have it so event pokes regenerated like normal legendaries. that's a bit cheap.

Or black....

One of them. I forget which. The different colored pokemon screwed me up.

Though, I'm thinking that I'll just get someone with a DS to trade all my pokemon from gold into black, so I don't have to deal with the ugly pokemon the entire game.

Also, I'm thinking about my main character being a girl, since I think she's better looking than the male guy. I think I'll still name her Mike.

Maybe that's because I like bizarre things.

...Although when my Woobat evolved it got real ugly and now it's stupid.

You can't transfer Pokemon until you beat the game. Lol. I think..

I think you have to. In past games, you had to beat the E4 before you could get a national dex.

Another thing... it's cool that TMs are unlimited now but I think I found the tradeoff.

I'm finding that less pokemon are able to learn the attacks.
