The only thing that I'm interested so far from E3 is how the storyline for Halo 4 is going to turn out. judging by the trailer it looks like it could be set on a shield world like how Ghost of Onyx ended but guess I'll wait and see.

Also, stocks in Nintendo went down considerably yesterday after the reveal of the Wii U. I dunno how good this bodes for Nintendo.

It doesnt bode well for them, investors are wondering what they are doing. Honestly for the last several years Nintendo has died for me. Most of their games don't entice me anymore like they used to. My wii had become a gamecube, nes and snes emulator really. Considering the only wii game I play now is harvest moon.
Re: E3 2011: Welcome back to the stage of history
You know... I gotta defend nintendo here. They've been bashed for the past few years because the wii was where all the shovelware crap goes to, and how there werent enough hardcore games for hardcore gamers because hardcore games are the only ones that matters. I like that they went and found support from all those 3rd party developers that dont suck. They are really trying hard to keep the hearts of all gamers.
Lemme ask: What was the best game you played in the last few months that didn't involve shooting a gun at something? For me it'd be terraria but before that it was okamiden. Then pokemon.

Persona 4. I was gonna say 3, but I guess yourself counts.
Not to mention Argarest war which was for 360 and Ps3, but not wii. The problem with Nintendo isn't the lack of hardcore games I think. The wii was lacking in graphics, which is part of what the hardcore gamers wants. Personally, it doesn't matter that much to me, but it matters to a lot of those gamers, so they market it to casual gamers with Wii fit and all that crap. It feels like all their hardcore titles are moving to the portable devices. I think THAT'S the problem. Mario, Pokemon, Kid Icarus, a few Zelda games, all of them are on the DS and 3DS. Nintendo needs to have it's titles on the consoles.
Not only that, but the few hardcore titles they have have grown stale. Name one game, other than Pikmin of course(which I didn't personally like at all) that Nintendo hasn't been marketing for less than 10 years. They need something new to catch the audiences. Everything else is just rehashed and the same. How many times have we beaten a boss in Zelda by shooting it in the eye? How many times have we rescued Peach from Bowser? How many times has Samus done whatever the hell Samus does? How many damn pokemon have we caught?
They need some kind of innovation, and not in motion control, 3D, or controller. All the technology in the world doesn't make up for lack of content.

I kinda agree with Lyle, I would like to see something fresh and new.
Re: E3 2011: Welcome back to the stage of history
In case you didnt know the wii u can only have 1 wii u controller at a time, so now there looking into making the 3ds a compatible controller, it also will not play dvds or blu ray. when will nintendo do something right i havent touched my 3ds in forever cause there are no games

That is why I haven't gotten a 3DS yet, I probably won't get one unless they have a long list of games I'm interested in.
Re: E3 2011: Welcome back to the stage of history
I haven't bought a 3DS yet cause it's fucking expensive.
And I'm not getting any hours at work.

Well, I would say that's a different topic. Feel free to post it somewhere else, as we could have a lengthy discussion.
That aside, my current job position leaves me with the yearning to get a decent amount of alcohol. And I would. If I was not tight in the money department with a trickle of income.
