Well, not to toot my own horn, but I kinda want Lucy to be the female protagonist of the game, if that's cool with everybody. And the main character doesn't exactly have to be the "chosen one." Usually there is a chosen one in the group, but with like Yuri, he was just some guy living in a slum.

Not necessarily a "chosen hero", more of a guy who actually has the drive and energy to do something. Hell Aaron could be the "chosen one", but he's just too much of a pussy to do anything on his own. Till the very end or something when he has to.

Again, just throwing out ideas, not making demands.

Well other people have characters too. Maybe we should have a general plot before deciding the lead character.

-Title. Tales of Confession
-World. Garddim.
-Starting plot. Two countries, The Joduun Empire and the Garas Ars Republic are on the brink of war. Garas Ars has accused the Joduun of being behind the Black Forest Massacre, a terrible event that caused the near extiction of the Svartenes (this world's elf analogy, actually what are we doing for races anyway?), long-time allies of Garas Ars In order to prevent the war from starting, a young upstart reporter named Haley Timms goes to find the truth behind said incident. She is joined by Noah Cruz, a freelancer who she has hired for protection.
-Towns and Cities.

Wendar: Capital of Joduun. Emperor Feyla watches over the Empire from here, accompanied by his four most trusted generals.
Endelss: An industrial city where Joduun produces a majority of its weapons.

Vanaheil. Capital of the Garas Ars Republic. A modernized city where President Furigg and the Senate reside.
Banan. A small city in Garas Ars where Noah lives.

Arfveil: The largest settlement of the Svartenes located infront of a large forest. Destroyed in an incident called the Black Forest Massacre, due to the forest where the Svartenes retreated into being set on fire.

I think I like Tales of Absence better. But the world name is cool.

Honestly, not a fan of the plot though. Sounds like a direct rip from FE 9/10.

-First Act: Small trivial quests in which some hint at something greater
-Second Act: Undecided
-Third Act: Undecided

How about a Doomsday cult? Like they could start out really small, like a few small quests have a few people talking about the end of the world or something?

The second act could end with the death of their leader or something, with the cult's prediction being false (as they always are), and then the third act could be trying to find who was the person behind the cult, and it could have been because of some profit gain.

A rough idea, feel free to pick apart, but it's something to work with. To my knowledge there's never been a doomsday cult in Tales before.

I guess you could say that the people who followed the score from Abyss were, but still.

World: Fortunecia

Plot: Fortunecia has been a world with much tranquility and order without the form of a Government. The people have collaborated with each other for centuries without much disarray within their world or help from existing places or worlds. Fortunecia was truly a world of balance and the people have thrived, showing their splendor and independence to other worlds. The day would come where Fortunecias balance would be put to the test by certain organizations as well as worlds in need of such power and balance. A rumor of legend spread amongst the years that when a world of peace or chaos would soon reach the time of Judgement or think itself in need of it, warriors of its threshold would come forth to challenge or prove their might to it. Whether the legend is that of a deity, beast, or source of power is yet to be discovered. All that is known is if the warriors of its world prove victorious, then that world would be stripped of all it lacks and be what its people have desired. However, the legend only states that of which the victor is rewarded , not what befalls the unfortunate who have been defeated. One day, Fortunecia found itself having a festival to celebrate its grand opening of a new school for kids to gain education and/or to train and become powerful warriors until a mysterious gleam of light fell from sky near a mountain with a huge waterfall. Curious as to what made the ruckus, some of the bravest warriors set out on an adventure they'd soon never forget...

I think we may at least want some areas and characters first. Give a place a name, its size and a defining feature of the place. Like if its a town it could be a place known for being a central area of trading materials, or if its a forest or something its known for having some sort of beast or some shit.
