it looks fun to play but yeah the spitter looks horrible and it will haunt my dreams anytime it pops up in my face during gaming

Don't worry everyone in L4D has a big gun and the Spitter is ranged so the odds of seeing it close up are very low

Hm. I'm not to sure about the accuracy of this. I mean, all the other special zombies have "er" at the end of them. With the exception of the Tank and the Witch. And unless this one is something like that, then I doubt that it's name at the very least will be "Jockey". Otherwise I'd be saddened.

However, I have new info as well:

Campaign:

2: Dark Carnival [Updated 8/26]
GameTrailers TV reports that "Dark Carnival" will be set in the Whispering Oaks amusement park in the late evening. After fleeing Savannah in the first campaign, the Survivors hit a traffic jam and have to head off the highway. Once they enter the amusement park, they find that some rides (like the merry-go-round) and other areas are still operating.

We don’t know much else about the campaign, or even if the entire campaign occurs in the amusement park. The amusement park does not appear to have roller coasters, but does have a ferris wheel, hot dog stand, small food court, and other areas. It also has undead clowns!

Melee weapon:

The Katana [NEW! 8/19]
At 10:53 in the GameTrailers TV episode, Chet mentions that one of the new melee weapons being implemented will be a katana, which was one of the weapons most requested by fans.

La Musica

[NEW! 8/19] Each campaign will have a unique musical score, since the South has many musically distinct regions.

Speculation:
[New! 8/26] Some visitors to Valve have claimed that a machete, police baton, and crowbar will be included as melee weapons.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the name either, but it is fitting... in any case we'll know if this is actually true or not pretty soon anyway.

I'm kinda thinking that the Jockey will be something like the Tank. Since it can control the other Survivors. You know the most frequent tactic will be run and jump off a bridge.

Unless it could only make the Survivors move slowly or something
I think that's what they'll do, otherwise it might be too hard to catch the controlled Survivor and remove the Jockey, if that's how it works.

True. It's probably something like that. Where it's like a slow walk. If the other survivors can't get to it in time, then he walks off a cliff.

That makes more sense.

And it probably doesn't do too much damage either. But the control thing is interesting nonetheless. I wonder what would happen when the survivor is incapped.

The jockey is (I just read the new kotaku article a few mins ago) like a hunter. But smaller, and its on your back and controls you. It's small, jumps onto your back and tears it up while controlling you, BUT the survivor CAN vvvvvvvvveerrrrrrrryyyyyyy slightly resist its control. But not much. I cant wait to make ppl run into hordes and fire and spitter acid and off cliffs and *list goes on and on*

Seriously, i've already forgotten about the Boomer SMoker and Hunter being in this game. They're so outclassed by these new infected >_<

...ok not completely the smoker, but i seriously forgot hunters and boomers would exist in this game

Only the Hunter will be really outclassed by everything. But they'll probably make them do more damage to still make them useful.

Though, a dream team would be this:
-Smoker
-Boomer
-Jockey
-Spitter
-Witch

To start, boomer shows up, and blows up on all the survivors, then the smoker drags one off, While they all run to help the smokered guy, the Jockey nails someone and walks toward the Witch, and then the Spitter spits and destroys what little health they have left.

This game is looking awesome.

4:25-4:29, fucking spitter incaps Coach and Ellis in FOUR SECONDS at half health. Jesus christ. Also, charger music, I dont like it. It creeps me out Sad

Jockey sounds REALLLYYYYY annoying.

Spitter sounds disgusting. Looks disgusting. Its fuckign disgusting. Its more disgusting than the boomer IMO
