Spitter is like a zombie malatov, so does that mean that regular zombies die in acid too? Also, SpitterHunter combo is going to be fucking RIDICULOUS

Well unless the Hunter gets mad hurt by the acid too. It makes sense that it would. Probably could get in a few good hits though before dying.

I was thinking more along the lines of:
Smoker pulls survivor from rooftop. Spitter spits on said survivor. Now the survivor's buddies have to make a choice, whether to let the friend die, or nearly get killed on Spitter goo.

Not to mention that a Hunter or Jockey can be lying in waiting, ready to pounce on whomever goes to save em.

That works, but I'm sure zombies like the hunter will have some sort of resistance to the acid. I was just talking about raw damage from that. Hunter Spitter combo could likely KILL a person in a few seconds.

Also remember the charger could distract the would be rescuers as well.

True. I'm sure that the Spitter will be a very interesting zombie. And a Hunter probably will have resistance to it, but not enough.

It'll definetly do a bad number to a survivor.

From what I've seen of the charger when he has grabbed on to someone it seems like hes harder to kill than normal.

Yeah. It does look that way.

It also doesn't look like you can melee him to get him off the survivor. Like how you can with the Hunter or Smoker.

Well, it'll probably run interference for the most part. Distract the survivors while El Smokar, Boomar, and other chip away at the other survivors. Sorta like the Hunter.

Yeah but more than likely they have a certain system set up like you wont have two chargers or two jockeys.

Less hunters =/= more smokers. Hunters are good. They have more maneuverability than any other zombie, and have access to areas that no other zombie does. Also, see that 2 is more open so far, there will be a lot more opportunities for high damage pounces.

Yeah. With all the new special infected, the Hunters seem like second class citizens.

Though, I have a feeling that there will always be one hunter. However, boomer and Smoker might be showing up less, to allow Spitter, Charger, and Jockey to show up.

I wonder, if the special infected vary from location. I haven't seen any Jockeys in any other campaign other than Dark Carnival, and no Spitters other than Swamp Fever.

What would be nice is if they gave you a choice on which zombie to be. Nothing too extravagant, otherwise you'd end up with 4 Smokers. But I mean like, choosing between 2 options to allow players to specify in their skill set.

@Masu: Sorry, I figured you were doing your usual "I'm always a hunter I wanna smoker!" bawwfest.

@Lyle: Dont forget that pounce damage! Now with the Jockey controlling movements, and Spitters keeping them from moving around willy nilly, Hunters time to get high damage pounces. Hunter will shine more than ever in this!

Also Hunters have their improvements in this game as well, being able to get off incapacitated people and stuff.

Right, because Spitters keep them from moving, by pouring acid on where they're standing?

And I'm not sure Jockeys can keep people from moving.

In fact, pounce damage may be harder to get than ever before.

Spitters limit the areas survivors can go. If there is one path, the survivors must either wait until the acid is gone, or run through it. If they wait, they get pounced. If they run through it, you pounce, make the team stagger( more spitter damage), and rip out someones intestines.

Jockey has gotta be hard to shoot. Best thing to do would be butt it off. So, if the jockey can control movements of survivors, I'm thinking use that to lure the suvivors over to a narrow area, or hide behind something so they can't shoot the jockey off, and HAVE to come around a building, then get pounced.

Really? That's kool/lame. But I'm sure some paths will be better than others. There always will be things like that.
