Persona 4 RP Topic

If you read/remembered from earlier in the day from the RP, kentaro made plans to visit his uncle the day after Dahni's dungeon. Its the only reason we went in at midnight. I left my post open not mentioning who went and who didn't go so anyone could be there. Because James said Shinta and Karin may or may not go, hes not sure

throwin in my two cents aww yeah...

1) Lyle feels left out. Understandable. Masu seems to dominate the rp. But I am of the opinion that a good character writes himself/herself. i.e. its not masu who's hoggin the spot light it just seems that way because u associate what should be separate characters with a single persona (not the game one but the actual definition).
I'll be the first to admit that an rp character never starts the way he ends and that the first and last posts almost never look like the same person but after a while a character settles in you know? Like things just start to happen and maybe it was the theater classes but the chara kinda plays things out themselves.
I guess what im trying to say is stefan hasnt hit that consistency yet or if he has the character lacks the social dynamic with the other (fictional) personalities.
The main thing to remember, and I'm guilty of this myself, is to not let irl impressions move the characters. Thats what this dungeon was. Thats what Stefan vs Kentaro was, and those are the parts of the rp that dont sit well with people.

2) lyle has a problem with kentaro. i dont. i wonder why. Oh wait thats because this whole thing is about...

3) ....perspective. Let's get some, shall we? Seems to me lyle has a pretty different point of view on all this from, i dont know, everyone. but then again so do i and so does branded and so does kilvas. so when one of our charas does something we're like awesome this is gonna be so great. When someone else posts we're like "huh? since when can he do that?"
So i know i had a clearer message of peace and understanding in there somewhere but i lost the thought while trying to juggle a few personal issues during this lovely little jam session. Lemme just skip to the summation:

I get it. I really do. This RP is an exercise in creativity, drama, and literature. We're all gonna bring different approaches, opinions, and techniques to the table, so there will be times when shit just doesn't click. What happened was instead of going "hey where are you going with this man?" we've just kinda taken subtle jabs at eachother through our posts. A lot of the times the posts reflected emotional stress btween our irl impressions of the other's writing skills, and there have been a few too little too late moments where weve just called eachother out on junk.

There are a couple of options. One, we can go back and point out all the little things that were "wrong" with eachothers posts. Loads of fun. I'll take any specific instance and pick it apart for you. Or two, we can let bygones be bygones and try and be a bit more open about this kind of stuff via skype or this here planning topic. Since we've already forced a mini timeskip might as well work on getting some of this straight. Of course the issue of lyle's chara bein ostracized from the group can still be adressed and should be but for now a quick breather is in order so we can all go back to finding fault with eachothers characters. just remember that criticism isnt supposed to be critical and well be just fine.

so thats my rant. coherence is not all there but fuck it ill reexplain what i have to.

Im just quoting this juuuuuuuuuust while you've only made two or three posts. Cause its not gonna be a short trip. So you can edit them to be with he group, unless you willingly want to just walk around saying "Im bored." For god knows how long. Cause if I hear "Im left outta the loop nothing is important unless its your little group" I swear to almighty god I will devour eighteen freshly deep fried infants. If you actually have a plan/idea to make something out of Maeko sitting around doing nothing in Inaba, then false alarm, disregard post, abort mission etc etc lol. But you said you refused to be outta the loop/left in the dark so I made sure to keep the post where it didn't determine who did and did not go on the trip so anyone who wanted to could.

I know, I know. I just didn't want to stop posting altogether. No need to fly off the handle or anything. Lol.

I don't think Maeko would wanna be at a Rise concert anyway, doesn't sound exciting/fun at all really. Lol.

history- born into a traditional and conservative family, aoi was raised either to become both highly successful in all forms of academics, and become a subservient housewife. Acting modest, and otherwise as the "perfect" wife, she became hateful towards her life, borderline psychopathic and otherwise devoid of human companion, finding sanctuary in her flowers (both seemingly grounded, waiting for their time). While working as an intern at a hospital, she met kou, your basic delinquent; care-free, getting into trouble all the time, and pretty much living life. the two became close, and became a couple (not stereotypical at all XD). while walking home after a date on the road while the walk sign was up a drunk driver came speeding torwards them, with you pushing aoi out of the way. Kou ended up in a coma, aoi coming out with some small scrapes. aoi's family, finding out about her less than perfect lover, are getting ready to move to inaba.

Uh, so yeah, I read the few latest posts, and I'm completely lost, like, what was with the video? I've missed alot since I've started school lately, so I apologize for not being able to post and keep up lately. But it's alot to read and take in at once. Sorry for being lazy and a bother, but could someone sum up what's happening in a nutshell please? D:

most of the group decided to go on a trip. Find ur last post and that should be whats relevant to you. everything else is happening far away from Inaba and is superfluous to the main story except for mild character development. This is the same trip from way earlier which yours and lyle's charas decided not to come on/ in the case of dahni couldn't come on.

Short version: u've missed nothing.

-Karin is insane and is apologizing for nearly punching Masuyo's head off
-Kentaro and Tsubasa are on a date
-Yomiko is sick
-Shinta and Masuyo are pretty much doing nothing

Yo sorry for the hold up. I meant to end the little trip a couple days ago but i've been kinda tied up on my end. Everything should be back in inaba by (well i got class/work tomorrow.) i HOPE saturday, sunday at the latest (in all honesty Ive just been waiting on red. James and I have been ready to end it)

I've been busy with school but I was posting once a day. I guess I'll just do a time lapse then since I never got a response from Tsubasa.

On another note I know you mentioned I should take control of her or Nene eventually and I guess after the trip is as good a time as any to start playing Tsubasa, but I'm not sure if I have a complete feel for her character yet.

I want to keep Nene in all honesty. If you don't feel comfy enough to control Tsubasa thats cool, you can control some spoiler character instead lol

Sorry I wouldve posted something sooner but then random family showed up for a visit. I just put us on the train back to Inaba to get it all over with. Felt flacid for a vacation arc, though I got what I wanted out of it for my chara. I would say it was a bit self indulgent but eh no one had to tag along for my "spirit journey" or whatever it's called when you find your second persona.

That's her name. Like How Karin's grandmother is named Mai but the narration says "Karin's grandmother."
