Persona 4 RP Topic

...What? Lol.

It just feels like this entire arc has been one big fight the entire way. It's stopped being FUN. Which is why I want to take a break from it for a while.

Well im just gonna have Tsubasa and Nene get hit by cars and die. Will that make everyone happy?

I didn't say that. Just make them varried characters. Make them like they would actually be like normal human beings. Instead of Japanese anime girl stereotypes.

Plus, that's not even what's bothering me really. It doesn't help, but what really irks me is that every step during this entire arc has been just bashing on everything that I've been doing. I know it's not fantastic, but Jesus. Neither is a villain showing up at random and shooting up a hospital when half of the people role playing aren't even there that day.

It's a hell of a lot quicker though, I'll give you that.

And yeah, but, everyone in Persona 4 was more than a stereotypical cut out of a single personality. And I know you can make characters that AREN'T just that. Masuyo and Yomiko are perfectly fine in that regard.

And neither are Tsubasa and Nene. Im not done with their development (cause it would just be another "ITS ONLY IMPORTANT IF ITS MASUS CHARACTERS" whinefest, so I held off on doing their's so soon. This is just like Kentaro, he tries to have him be immature/generic for a while and you jump the guy for trying to have normal character pacing. They dont just wake up and change because they have personas. Characters are bad/annoying for a while. Yukari was shit 80% of the game till she changed. Yosuke and Junpei were mad imamture for a good part of the game.) If you askme the characters that join already perfect and loveable are the shitty ones.

I don't hear complaining about Masuyo being a generic character cut out (When hes the MOST generic of all four! And he's STILL awesome despite that.), loser gamer pervert nerd? How many of THOSE have we had!? Name all the Shy slasher girls youve seen. And i mean SHY, not cutesy. Nene is the typical outgoing girl but hey look at what we had to work with till then:

-Yomiko:Bitch 80% of the time
-Tsubasa:Scared girl
-Karin:Tomboy
and now Maeko:Polar opposite Nene.

Group Balance. Its a pretty important concept.

I dont know what you read to think all four of them are the same. if any the most similar are Masuyo and Nene cause they're both loud and energetic.

They're kinda all pretty loud and boisterous. Except Tsubasa obviously. And when I say they're similar, I mean that they always seem to share the same opinion. That's what bugs me about it.
Sure sometimes ONE person will differ in opinion. But almost every other time, they all seem to have one mass opinion.

And still, that still is nowhere near why I want to pause posting. It's a minimal complaint. I want to pause posting in the RP, because it feels like everything I try to experiment with just ends up being met with such resistance that it's not even worth trying.

Up until I introduced Toshiyuki, it felt like everything was decided for me. Like we were all on some set path the RP was going in. And I was just kind of along for the ride, and anything I wanted to do with my character would end up being secondary.

So I came up with Toshiyuki, not only to mix things up a bit, but to make things more interesting for you guys too. I figured it was you, red, and (for lack of a more accurate name) Branded were all coming up with ideas on your own. So for the sake of keeping your interest in it, I wanted to come up with stuff that you guys had no idea what was going on with either. Both balancing out the paths of power and keeping things interesting for everyone.

But it's just been met with such resistance and hostility that I've lost any drive I've had.

If shes a slasher then i thank you for spoiling Durarara for me.

Anyways, sucks. But if you wanna throw in some sort of twist, its usually good to not come right out and blow the guy's disguise by having him be so hilariously obvious, that a 3 year old knows "Mommy thats a bad guy!" A black cloak in the middle of summer in the small town of inaba? Really? I know you said you arent a pro at this (neither am I) but still................Really?

Yeah. I didn't think that Kentaro could bend reality and somehow show up to the meeting place in 2 minutes flat either.

Also, to those of you worried, yes me and Masu are arguing. But after about 10 minutes after we stop we'll be completely normal again. This is how our relationship has been for 5 years.

It was it was much more than two minutes. I guess you didn't get it from Shinta's "I almost thought i was gonna have to start dancing." line but he the point was he was stalling for us to get there.

Take my advice: If this is how you feel, never play D&D. I'll have a more coherent reply in a bit just...

No. It's mostly cause my sister plays it and she never shuts up about it.
Plus there are some really creepy people that play it yes. But I don't find anyone here that I'm Rping with creepy. At least not within the contexts of the RP and all it associates with.

Anyway, while I can understand your intentions I honestly wish you at least spoke to me about it. I'd like to think I could've helped in some regard, especially sense you admit that your not confident in the story idea. That's actually the reason the three of us consulted with each other. So that we can hear people's opinions on the matter and iron out any wrinkles in the idea.

Really that's my only issue. You keep saying that this arc isn't good but you seem to have made no effort to make it good. It's like a fanfic writer who refuses criticism because s/he's not an author. All it does is raise the question,"Why do this then?"

I mean, part of that is the distance. If you guys are hanging out and throwing out ideas for the RP at like McDonalds, I could hardly ask for you guys to fly me to Virginia for the afternoon to join in on it.
