The new campaign is "the sacrifice"

Its the campaign where bill dies, which is how the comic will end. speaking of that, they're releasing a 150 page digital comic, showing the backstory of the L4D1 survivors before the outbreak happened, and it leads to the sacrifice, where they've confirmed that bill will die in it (and his page was fucking badass of him smoking a cigarette with a molotov in the face of a tank and the horde)

But for the campaign, its dlc for L4D1 AND L4D2 because chet says "We dont wanna have to make you rebuy L4D1 360 owners since there were trade in deals for L4D2!" And if you get the sacrifice on L4D2, you also get No Mercy, and the L4D1 survivors.

Also, the idea of running through the passing with Francis, Zoey and Louis is absolutely hysterical with continuity errors.

And I think the new survivor should be a japanese sushi restaurant owner who doesn't speak english.

Well, I get what he's saying.

But let's be frank here: Anyone who bought L4D for the STORY, is a retard. The character dialogues in the campaign are chocolate shavings on top of a scoop of Cookie Dough Ice Cream. It makes for a different experience each time.

I bet there's STILL dialogue I haven't heard in the game.

We have an official release date now. October 5th.

Valve plans to release The Sacrifice DLC on October 5, 2010, for both the original Left 4 Dead, and the more recent sequel, allowing gamers to play as any of the original characters, but unlike in L4D's No Mercy campaign story (which will also be included in the DLC for L4D2), you get to decide which one faces his maker.

The Sacrifice DLC will be available on PC for free, and will cost 560MS Points ($7) on Xbox Live.

This is awesome, a release date fairly early.

Considering how long it's taken for them do reveal it, I think it's a pretty fair release date.

However, the passing was delayed, so it may happen again.
But Valve is pretty good with this sort of thing. They take care of the fans.

why would it need a trailer? it comes out in exactly a week.

The Passing had a trailer a week before it.

It doesn't NEED a trailer. But that one little clip of Rochelle and Francis was pretty sweet. It actually got me to appreciate Rochelle more. And renewed my love for francis.

A trailer would be nice but since its release is so close I don't think its necissary.

Still, this part was my favorite so far. Cause it was less 'DRAMA-SAD-TIME!!!' and more of what L4D really is.

I felt really bad for those CEDA guys. The ones that were with Francis and Louis. They were mad cool. Bill could have at least saved the doctor guy. He might have been usefull.

Also, I wonder what the means for Coach, Ellis, Rochelle and Nick. Like, if they were taken to a similar place and then shot and killed.

I'd doubt it, because Coach Ellis Nick and Roch didn't infect everyone they were around. They may actually be 100% okay as compared to L4D1 crew. Also, bill was me this part.
