The Pokemon Roleplay

"Hm. I guess it's just who you are..." Mike said, leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes.

"Hm, I have a question. Why do you hate Bill so much? He seems like a nice guy..."

Mike said no words, but grumbled at mention of Bill's name.

"Oh come on! I want an answer! Please?"

"It's...you know, he's the perfect child, and I'm the fuck-up. We both had dreams for our future, and he's the one that succeded. I'm the one that screwed up. So, everyone loves Bill, and Mick becomes a criminal." Mike grumbled.

"Oh...Sorry for bringing it up. But...you make it sound like you HAD to be a criminal.", Jenna replied leaning back on her chair.

"Halt." A monk said calling out to Allen

"Can I help you?" Allen said turning, "If this isn't important can you let me go see my uncle and I'll get back to you later."

"No we must battle." The monk said, "1 on 1 Pokemon battle one round."

"Why?" Allen said looking at Gible who seemed to be getting excited

"That is how we find inner peace between us and the world through pokemon battles." the monk said, "So we fight now."

"If you insist, Gible your up for a battle aren't you?" Allen said looking at Gible who started jumping up and down in excitement, "Right lets go."

"True. I guess in the end, it was my choice. But I'm not living off my brother's sucess. I'd rather die on my failure." Mike leaned back in his chair and relaxed

"Welcome to the gym, Trainer. I am Falkner. What brings you here?"

"Oh, erm, Hello, whom are you?" Elm asked as he opened the door of his lab.

"Uh, well, uh...I wanted to, uh, train, and stuff. How could I...uh, do that?"

Michael hadn't actually talked to a Gym Leader before, and was slightly intimidated.
Gastly was not. He was watching Falkner carefully (while sideways).

"Interesting pokemon you have there...." Falkner crossed his arms and thought for a moment. "I have an idea. I get challengers almost daily, if I battled every single one that came in here, I'd never get a chance to eat or sleep. So, I get a few people here to weed out the weak, so to speak. So here's my proposition. You fight any trainers that come to challenge me, if they make it past you, I fight them. If not, then you get battle experience. Sound good?"

"Actually... yeah, that sounds pretty good. I'll stick around for a while and help you out. Thanks! Does that sound good to you, Gastly?"
Gastly appeared to consider it for a few seconds, then started spinning.

"All right. Anything I need to know before I start? Challenge rules, arena hazards, healing machines, that sort of thing. Also...this is a flying-type Gym, right? I...don't actually have any flying types...although, come to think of it, they can all fly."

"Hm...I see. Sorry for bringing it up.", Jenna replied.

"Alright! Your Pokemon are as good as new! Here you are!", Nurse Joy said as she handed Pichu over to Jenna. The Chansey following her placed the tray of pokeballs on the table in front of them.

"Go Bellsprout." The monk threw his only pokeball out.

"Gible trash him." Allen said sticking his hands in his pockets and observing the battle carefully.

Gible focused and started to chomp its teeth in an attempt to intimidate the plant. The plant watched the Gible.

"Gible use Dragon Rage." Allen said confidently.

Gible called forth flames from its body and did a full body tackle on the Bellsprout injureing it, down to 70%.

"Bellsprout use Photosynthesis!" the Monk said, his pokemon ran over to the nearest window and began to take in sunlight.

"Doesn't matter. You're not a permanent member. If you're not on payroll, then you don't need flying types." Falkner said.

"Don't worry about it." Mike took his pokeballs. "Thanks Nurse. Let's go."

"Gotcha. Alright, Gastly, let's get set up over there..."

The Monk's Bellsprout began to take in sunlight and regenerate its health.

"Gible Headbutt!" Allen said smirking. Gible reared back and jumped foward nailing the Bellsprout in the head knocking it off guard, (65%), "Fall back now." Gible did as ordered.

"Bellsprout use Vine Whip." the Monk said as his pokemon obeyed launching whips of vines into the air and smacking Gible for some damage (90%).

"Ah! Professor Elm? I'm Doctor Richard Solace. Doctor Kaminko should have sent word of my arrival. Admittedly he's a tad absentminded... Er, may I come in?"

Richard tilted his head quizzically.

"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

"Hm. Interesting Gastly...." Falkner said to himself.

"Um, no, not at all, please, come in. What can I do for you?" Elm asked.

Sothe knew what he had to do.

Eric then fell from the sky from the explosion he experienced.

"No. I challenge YOU. WITH MY FULLY EVOLVED EEVEE TEAM"

OH SHI-!(HP 79%)"Alakazam regain your footing then use Future Sight!"

"Thank you!", Jenna said as she placed Pichu on her head and the Pokeballs in her bag.

"It's no problem! Please come again! Take care!", Nurse Joy replied waving as Mike and Jenna walked out the door.

He continued to follow Micheal around and asked, "You need any help buddy??" He had grown bored of balancing his egg so he carried it around now.

"Don't give him the chance Milktank! Keep going!" Whitney's Milktank charged again for Alakazam.
