"So. Now what, Jenna?" Mike said, walking out of the pokecenter.

"Well...I dunno. I guess we should go to the Gym. Where is it?", Jenna asked looking around.

"Probably in that direction." Mike pointed. "We should pass sprout tower on the way. Though it'll be off in the distance a little."

"Alright, then what are we waiting for? Let's go!", Jenna said as her and her Pichu started walking in the direction on the Gym.

"Well, at least she didn't grab my arm and drag me there." Mike started walking after her. "Hm..."

"Hm?", Jenna turned around, but continued to walk. "What? Is something wrong?"

"Well....Nah, forget it." Mike said. "We'll go later."

"Go where? The Sprout Tower? Now you got me curious..."

"Nah. Not there. Look over there." He pointed to a building near the lake, labeled 'Rent-a-Rod.' "Seeing as though neither of us have a water type, I thought it might be useful to try it out. But it can wait."

"Hm?", Jenna turned to the building. "Ohhh. I wonder what kind of water types are there! We go there straight after the Gym!", Jenna said pointing at the building. "So let's hurry up and beat Falkner, Pichu!"
"Piichu!", Pichu squeaked as it jumped on her shoulders. Jenna then started running in the direction on the Gym.

"Hm. She's probably gonna end up solely using Pichu, seeing as the gym is all flying types. However, that'll end up damaging the rest of her team. Granted, not Ninetails so much, but Eevee will surely suffer...Then again, it's none of my business." Mike followed after her to the gym.

"Whew...here we are Pichu, the Violet City Gym! I'm gonna be counting on you Pichu. You're gonna be very inportant in this battle.", Jenna said panting as she petted her Pichu, in front of the Gym.

"That's what I said." Mike said behind her back.

"Yea a bit, I can get creative. with that Gastly you can probably get really creative... Can it go invisible?" he asked. spinning the egg on a finger.

"I know, I'm just repeating it to Pichu.", She replied as she pinched one of Pichu's cheeks. "Well...I guess I should go on in now", Jenna said as she slowly walked through the doors.

"Hm. I've seen better looking gyms." Mike said, loud enough so that those around him could hear.

"M-Mike!! Don't go saying things like that! But anyway...Where's Falkner...?"

"I don't think so, I've never seen him become invisible before.

"Hm? Oh, it looks like a trainer's here... hey, it's those guys from before. I guess I should do that whole 'run across the room at the first trainer I see and challenge them' thing then. Gastly, over here," he called out.

He walked over to the newcomers, Gastly trailing behind. "Uh...hello. Are you two here to challenge Falkner?" he asked.

"Um, Y-yes, I am. I'm Jenna. Do you know where Falkner is?", She asked.
"Pi!", Her pichu jumped in front of her, ready to fight.
"Ah! No no Pichu, not yet! That's not Falkner.", Jenna said picking up Pichu.

Gastly started to hover towards Jenna.
"Gastly, don't mess with the challengers, please."
Turning back to her, he continued, "Sorry about that. Falkner should be just in the back there. But I'm supposed to battle people who want to face him first."

"Er...oh, alright...I didn't know I had to battle other people first...This could take awhile..", Jenna mumbled to herself. "Ok, So should we get started then?"

"Wait a sec. Falkner's gonna make Jenna battle you, then wear all her pokemon out so Falkner can wipe the floor with her? No deal."

"Can't we go back to the Pokemon Center again before I fight Falkner? Though it would be a hassle..."

"No. That's not even the point. It's Falkner's job as a Gym leader to face challengers. If he's not up to the task, then he shouldn't be a gym leader." Mike claimed.

"Oh?" Falkner said. "Is that so? Well, this guy here asked me to help him through training, so I offered to allow him to battle challengers. That way, he can weed out the weak."

"Psht. And then those who aren't weak, you total, because they're all injured. I know what you're trying to do Falkner. Making it easier on yourself. This is something a lot of gym leaders do, and it makes me sick. IF you're a gym leader, you should fight the challengers on your own."

Michael and Gastly just stared at everyone.

"Uh..."

"Gastly what do you think I should do?"

Gastly shrugged, as far as a cloud could shrug, anyway.
