The Pokemon Roleplay

The Heat Wave struck true, knocking Gastly out of the air and also setting a couple of the curtains on fire.

Gastly collapsed on the ground like a pool of liquid smoke. The apparitions instantly vanished.

"Nice going Inferno. Take it easy." He held out his pokeball and allowed his Quilava to return. "Your Gastly was pretty tough there. Nice going man."

There was no response. Michael was standing still with a glazed expression on his face.

"Hm." Mike said.

"You alright?" Mike crossed his arms.

Michael blinked a couple times.

Without warning, he took Gastly's seldom-used Poke Ball from his bag and recalled the floored ghost.

"I'm fine," said Michael, still staring blankly into the wall.

He strode past Mike towards the exit.
It looked as though he was swaying a little bit as he walked.

He had watched the battle in awe... amd didn't like the turnout... He saw Micheal walk off... "H-hey!! W-wait up!!" he yelled running after him... he caught up to Micheal as he was getting to the door. he put a hand on his shoulder... "You alright? Let's get him to the poke center..."

"Hm..." Mike thought to himself, watching Michael leave.

"Those were some impressive moves there, Mike. Not bad." Falkner said.

"Call me Mick."

"Still, you wouldn't stand a chance against me. A REAL gym leader." Falkner said, this seeming to strike a chord with Mike.

"...Luckily, I don't have to. You're up Jen." Mike walked away from the field, and patted Jenna on the back.

"O-oh, er...alright...", Jenna mumbled shyly as she walked forward. Her pichu jumped off her shoulder infront of her. Ready for battle again.

Allen sighed, "Dragon Rage," Gible followed his masters command and ran into the Bellsprout critically injuring it, "It's over," Allen said picking up Gible and leaving the monk.

"But, how!" he picked up his Bellsprout.

"Heh not even worth my time." Allen walked up the stairs nearing the top of the old tower.

"You ready to fight a real gym leader?" Falkner said, stepping down in front of Jenna.

"She is. Though, are you a REAL gym leader?" Mike said, with distain in his voice.

"Mike, that's enough...E-er..Ok, Let's get started then. Pichu! You ready?", Jenna said. "Pii!", Pichu stood ready for action.

"Go! Pidgeotto!" Falkner tossed his pokeball, and out of it came Pidgeotto.

"Ok Pichu! Let's start things off with Quick attack, followed by Thundershock!", Jenna commanded as Pichu ran towards Pidgeotto at a lightning-fast speed as it started charging it's cheeks.

"Pidgeotto, fly up into the air and knock Pichu back with gust!" Pidgeotto avoided the attack and flapped his wings around.

"Pichu! Jump behind it and use Thunder Wave!".
Pichu, continued running and jumped behind Pidgeotto, and shot a weak volt of electricity.

"Damn!" Pidgeotto took the hit. And fluttered to the ground.

"Now Pichu! Thundershock followed by Tackle!"
"Pichu!", Pichu charged up it's cheeks and fired another volt towards Pidgeotto as it started running towards it.

Somehow Michael had made it all the way to the Pokemon Center, where he had startled the nurse on duty by lurching in the door and slamming Gastly's Poke Ball on the counter.

Now he was sitting by the lake, Gastly hovering beside him.

"There's no question, I have to stop sucking right now. I'm not going to get exploited like that ever again. Only thing to figure out is, how?"

Gastly drifted down to the ground and rolled into the lake.

Michael pulled out his region map and studied it carefully.
"Hmm...Goldenrod Department Store, maybe?
Wait, what's this? Ecruteak City... a ghost-type Gym. I don't know if I want to deal with any more Gyms, but this might be too good to pass up, eh?"

Gastly spun around on the surface of the water.

"All right, then. That's where we're headed. It looks pretty close, too- lucky."
He got up. "Hey, where'd Jose get to?"

Allen sighed as he got to the top floor, "Nice to see you uncle." he said putting Gible down and allowing him to run in circles.

"Ah your Allen right, my sisters son." The monk said turning to face him, "What brings you to sprout tower?"

"Nothing much just thought I'd see you before I continue on, I'm wondering around with nothing in particular to do other than collect data and observe pokemon behavior." Allen said sighing.

"Well since you've come here I think I might have something for you." John said looking around, "It's here somewhere."

"Come on Pidgeotto! Dodge it!" Pidgeotto was paralyzed, so he took the hit, then the tackle. (40%)

"Yes! Alright Pichu! One more Thundershock!"
Pichu charged up it's cheeks and fired another volt at Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto! Dodge it! Then follow up with Wing attack!" Falkner's Pidgeotto managed to will itself to dodge, then it swooped down and slammed Pichu with it's wing.

"Ah! Pichu, no!"
Pichu was slammed back and hit the ground. Pichu quickly got back on it's feet, however. (60%)
"Now Pichu! Quick Attack!", Jenna shouted as Pichu began running towards Pidgeotto again at fast speeds.
