I like how the few volumes of Bakuman I read said this kind of thing was coming. They have that one character who rages about how the "popular" series are ruining the quality of JUMP and that crazy crow kid wants to destroy one of the top series if he reaches the top of the manga charts. Basically Bakuman is a JUMP manga that points out what's wrong with JUMP i.e. Bleach and Naruto. I'm sure the publishers see the point, but I hope whatever fans fill out the surveys also kill any series that goes the way of these two.

It just sucks. I remember when both these series were really good. When Naruto was around the Chunnin exam, it was awesome. Plenty of characterization, loads of stuff was happening.

It was great until the first fight with Sauske. That was an OKAY fight, but it was kinda at that point that the series started going downhill.

I mean, there were times after that that were really good. Like, anytime Shikamaru had an importance, or when Killerbee was first introduced, or when they did Naruto's mom's flashback, but other than that it's just been severe disappointment.

I mean, what can you do? They're trying really hard to make Naruto a respectable hero, making all the villains and secondary characters believe in him, but it's impossible to ignore the degree of Faggotry the character has had since his conception.

Like: 'BELIEVE IT!'

I actually don't think Naruto is that bad... At least not as bad as Bleach. Even now. Naruto the character is a fucking asshole and I'm getting sick of him but the other characters are cool. Also, One Piece. ONE PIECE. Is one of the faces of shonen. Makes up for Naruto and Bleach.

I never got into One Piece. I don't think I will either.
