I had another Nerdgasm. I started analyzing the whole trailer trying to pin-point plots. I was hoping to see a ghoul or a Super mutant.
I'm so ready for it. It's gonna come out in Fall.

Sadly Fallout kinda got killed for me cause of this loser in my class who made the game sound like some kind of nerd paradise which made it hard for me to even enjoy it.

To be on topic though, I really want to try fall out, it looks great, but I dont have the time to throw in ANOTHER long running game into my agenda. That and the money i'd have to drop on all the DLC that has come out.
Though, if I were to get it, how long would the game last? (include all the DLC)

Depends on how you play it.
I got really into all the detailed stuff, plus DLC. So I spent about 100 hours on it per playthrough.
But if you just do the storylineyou're an idiot, you're probably not gonna like it as much, and it'll take maybe 20 hours.
My advice: Skip Fallout 3, wait for New Vegas. Get GTA4.
Fallout 3 rocked, but there's a lot of new stuff going on. By the time you get to play it, it'll be New Vegas time.
If you ever have spare money and time, you could do a lot worse than Fallout 3.

-Taken from the Fallout wiki site. Good source of info. Aaaaanyway, looks like that's what's going on in the trailer. More info here:The player will play as a courier, who was left to die in a shallow grave (Possibly from the trailer), rescued by a robot named Victor, and patched up by a Doctor Mitchell.
The story will continue some parts of the Fallout and Fallout 2 stories, but will not be related in any way to the one in Fallout 3.
Fallout: New Vegas will take place in 2280, 3 years after the events of Fallout 3 and 40 years after Fallout 2, making this installment set the farthest in the series. The New California Republic will play a major part in the story, in a three way struggle between the NCR, the Caesar's Legion slavers, and the local New Vegas populace.
Gameplay:
* The gameplay system will be similar to the Fallout 3 gameplay, although some changes are likely to be made (e.g. Damage Threshold might make a return).
* VATS will return, with melee weapons having special moves, such as "Fore!" for golf clubs.
* The SPECIAL system will return, but now it directly influences speech options and quests.
* Karma is back, but now incorporated alongside a reputation system, similar to Fallout 2.[2]

It's comes out in october I think.
Also, if you don't already have Fallout 3, you should just wait for this. Cause it's all the same gameplay. But a different location. And improved gameplay.
If you can borrow Fallout 3, then totally do it, it's a great game. But you could just wait on Vegas and get the same basic experience.
As far as I can tell.
It'd be better if you spent the money on Mass Effect and Mass effect 2, rather than Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas
