"No I'm quite serious," the boy replied, "and I would be happy to accept your offer."

"Very well, let us be off." Marcus smiled, walking past the boy.

"Are you serious?! You don't even know his name!" Lucy yelled.

"If you don't want to come with us, you don't have to, you already have your payment after all." Marcus called back to her.

"Many thanks. I'll make sure not to cause you any trouble." The boy turned to Lucy, "And my name is Noah. I look forward to working with you." He followed after Marcus out of the ruins.

"Tch." Lucy snarled.

"By the way, I'm Marcus, and this is Lucy."

"Who told you to introduce me?!" Lucy snapped.

"It's only polite when someone else gives their name." Marcus claimed.

"Here is are your things sir, have a nice day." An attendent put the items on the counter.

"Thank you," Cein put the money on the counter then put the items into his pack. He turned and exited the building.

"Cein Mercaid!" a voice called out.

Cein turned towards it, a man with a blade already drawn was standing there looking at him, "What do you want."

"Apparently you don't get it you don't get offered to join the Blood Alliance, you join or you die." The man rushed forward lowering his blade for a thrust.

"Great..." Cein pulled out his dagger and used it to redirect the man's thrust, then drawling his main sword he got away from the shop and prepared for the counter attack.

Emi was heading towards the inn when she heard someone shout, "What is that," she turned to look to see a man rush at the man that passed by her before, the man easily moved the thrust to the side with his dagger then drew a longsword and took a defensive stance, "Where have I seen that before," she thought the style looked familiar.

Noah nodded in agreement, "A pleasure to meet you two."

"Wonderful..." Cein thought noting that a crowd was gathering, "Just what I needed.

The man charged in again with a powerful vertical swing, Cein postitioned both his weapons in front of the blow and caught it kicking the man back.

"Demon Fang," Cein sent a shock wave at the man as he struggled to regain his balance.

The wave caused him to fall back and fall to the ground. Cein walked over and put his foot on the man's sword arm, pointing the longsword at the man's neck, "I think you should go back to your guild now." Cein noticed him nod silently, he stepped back still facing the man. The man quickly stood up and ran off back into Dahngrest.

Cein sighed, "Alright that's it shows over people," as he put his weapons away and proceded to walk through the crowd towards the inn.

"Did you enjoy your meal?" Eliza asked Axel as she cleared the table.

"Very much." Axel said smiling at Eliza. "Thank you very much!"

"Its no problem son!" Eliza's husband said.

"You seem to be around Noah's age. He could use a polite boy like you as a friend." Eliza said

"Noah? Is that your son?" Axel asked helping Eliza clear the table.

"Yes. He's away at the moment now though. He just cant stay put with his love of adventuring and all." she said slightly worried for her son's wellbeing

"Its all the stories pop told him when he was a child." Eliza's husband said as he grabbed a mug of water.

"What's he look like?" Axel asked.



"Thats the place. He's in there." Onyx's sister said as she approached Noah's house

"...." Lucy was at a loss. Though, she only needed to accompany them to Aspio. So it would be a short trip. She felt the same large pulse of mana. What's he up to now? She thought.

Emi watched slightly amazed by what just happened, "That was impressive." she thought to herself, "Maybe I could ask him to help me get better at fighting." she watched him start walking to the inn, she followed slightly behind him hoping to try and start a conversation.

Noah turned to Lucy concerned, "Hm? Something troubles you, Ms. Lucy?"

"N-nothing. Shut-up." I guess he can't sense it. She thought. She trailed along behind them.

Cein sighed as he entered the inn noticing the person following him, "Probably just going to the inn as well," he noted it was the woman he passed when he left the restaurant.

"How much for a room?" Cein asked as he walked up to the counter.

"200." The innkeeper said looking up from his book.

Cein put the 200 coins on the counter and began walking to his room.

"I see," Noah cocked his head,"Well if you ever need to talk to someone about anything you can confide in me."

Lucy glared at him. Her eye twitched.

"Man, they're awfully nice." Axel said as he looked around Noah's room. "And why do they trust me so much as to let me use their son's room?" he asked himself outloud. "Hm........its true that I dont have friends...........maybe I should try to find Noah while im on my trip." Axel said as he laid down on the floor near Noah's bed and yawned. "Phew. Im beat. Imma catch a few hours of sleep before heading out. Gotta make sure I let them know how much I appreciate all they've done for me first." he said as he closed his eyes

Noah shivered for a brief moment, "Um...Sir Marcus, when do you think we will arrive at Aspio?"

Emi went to reach for the man's shoulder to try and get his attention but thought better of it, "Maybe I shouldn't bother him," she thought, thinking of what happened earlier, and the other occasion that she had seen him, "But then again I need help, because I really don't know how to join guild's and other things about this city." she reached out for his shoulder again, "Excuse me sir."

"Well it shouldn't take too long once we get out of here." Marcus said. "Ah! In fact, here's the exit." He took the ladder into his hands and started climbing.

Strange. We didn't get attacked by too many monsters here. What's more, we got attacked by NO monsters on our way out. Lucy thought to herself as she looked behind them.

Cein noticed the woman behind him trying to get his attention then she stopped, he decided not to take notice and continue on his way.

"Can I help you, is something wrong?" Cein said turning around hearing her say something and tapping his shoulder.

Noah looked down at Lucy from the ladder, "You are going to be left behind if you do not hurry, Miss Lucy?"

Ugh...Now I have two of them barking at me. "Yeah yeah." She started climbing the ladder.

Emi thought for a moment, "I was wondering if you could help me with some questions I have." she was a bit surprised by the direct manner but was glad that he wasn't some nutcase that yelled at everyone.

"If you have questions about Dahngrest I can answer them if that is what you are asking," Cein raised an eyebrow and sat down on a chair nearby, "Sit down, please." motioning to a chair near his own.
