The Pokemon Roleplay

"hmm, okay fine then. I'll go with Combusken!" Antonio threw his ball and out came the pokemon.

COMBUSKEN!, said the pokemon in a loud hyped up voice

"Hm. A fighting type, eh? Looks like we're gonna have to take him out quickly Meoth. Use agility!" Stephie's Meowth ran past Combusken, increasing it's speed as it went along.

*Northern Outskirts of Cherrygrove*

"Okay so according to the guidebook," the man said to himself, "Violet City should be err that way?" he said pointing south, "But I just came from there and that's Cherrygrove." he sighed, "Well looks like I'm lost." He sat down on the side of the road and looked up at his Gible who was happily running around in circles chasing a leaf, "So where do you think we should go?" he asked it. His Gible stared at him sensing his owner's confusion and started chasing the leaf again, "Heh, looks like I'm not the only one lost." he stood and stretched, "Maybe I should go back and ask for directions." he picked his Gible up and started to walk back towards the town.

He laughed and started turning about in his hands. "I'm not sure what's in it... It was basically pushed at me to make some monies... My..." He paused, "Uhh... family gave it to me... and no I don't have the cops on my back like an annoying monkey nipping at my ears." he laughed, He tossed the egg in the air and caught it on his head this time he stood perfectly still the egg staying on his head. "But I hope it likes to play around like I do!"

"You know, one day, that thing is gonna hatch and rip your face off for all the jumbling around." Mike said. "Anyway, we gotta head to the pokemart. Well, I do. You should probably buy some pokeballs too Jenna."

"I wish I had an egg now...", Jenna mumbled to herself. "Hm? Oh! Right! Let's go, Off to the mart!", She said pointing and walking in a random direction.

"Mart's that way." He pointed toward the side, a scowl on his face, in a different direction from where Jenna was going.

"Er..right. Let's go that way then!", Jenna said as she walked in the direction Mike was pointing. She grabbed his hand and started pulling him, "Come on, hurry up!"

"EH?! Er, well, see you around.....um Egg-guy...." He waved with his free hand, as he got pulled along by the other.

"Ok! Here it is!" She stated as she walked inside the pokemart.
"Hello, may I help you?" a clerk as the counter asked.
"Ah, yes. I'd like five Pokeballs, please.", Jenna replied quietly.
"Sure thing, just a minute.", the clerk replied.
"Oh, crap. I hope I brought money...", she said as she looked through her bag.

"Make it 10." Mike said, placing the appropriate amount of money on the counter. "Also, toss in three potions. Just in case."

"Yes sir," The clerk said placing the items on the counter and the money into the register.
"Hm? What? You're gonna pay for it"?, Jenna asked.

"For now. You'll have to pay me back someday. Not like you have money on you, right? And I'm not gonna have you keep using my pokeballs." Mike said."The potions are mine though. Now let's get out of here before-"

"Hold it right there McReary!"

"Crap." Mike spun around to find himself face to face with an officer.

"So, you have the money to buy pokeballs, but not a scotch, huh?"

"I had the money for the scotch, officer, it was the bartender that was being unreasonable. He wouldn't sell me the beverage cause I was 'underage'."

"Heh. Well, I got you now. You have a lot of guts coming back to Cherrygrove. Hold out your hands. We don't want a big scene here. And you don't want anymore marks on your record. Come on."

"Well, you know me, I always like to make a spectacle." He placed a hand on a pokeball. Then he looked to Jenna. "...Then again, I'm still pretty hung over. No doubt that a battle will just make things worse for me. Alright officer, I'll go quietly."

"Good choice McReary." He snapped the cuffs on Mike's hands. "Now, let's go to the station." He pulled Mike along, leading him out the door.

"Eh?! Uh-, Er-, What-, But-", Jenna studdered, startled at the scene that just happened. "Ah, wait!", Jenna said as she followed out the door.

"Who's this girl? An accomplice?" The officer said.

"An accomplice to what? I stole some alcohol. I didn't murder anyone." Mike glared at the cop.

"Anyway, what do you want, girlie?"

"Well...er...It's just...Do...do you have to take him in? I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him...I'd be lost...And I don't have any money...", Jenna said nervously to the cop.

"So? This kid's a criminal. He needs to be taught a lesson." The cop said.

"Hopefully not by you." Mike threw in.

"Shut-up."

"Jenna, try flirting with him, he seems like the kind of cop that's easily corrupted." Mike added.

"I said shut-up you little prick!" The cop said. "Keep your mouth shut till we get to the station."

"Jenna, just follow him to the station. Then we'll get this whole mess fixed up. Can't talk to this guy, he's got no power to do anything. He's a pencil pusher." The cop snarled at Mike's taunts.

"Er...alright." Jenna said as she followed them to the station.
"Pichu!", Jenna's pichu squeaked as it jumped on her shoulder.
"Hmm...I wonder...", She whispered as she patted the pichu's head.

"Here. I got him. The sucker had the balls to come back into the city." The cop said, as he walked into the station.

"More balls than you'll ever have." Mike joked.

"Grrr.." The cop clenched his fists.

"That's enough officer." The police cheif Jenny relieved the first cop of his capture. "You're Mike McReary, eh? You've been causing a lot of trouble."

"Nah. You guys are just too used to things being calm around here."

"Hm speed eh? Then combusken use bulk up!"
Combusken bulks up and seems stronger and tougher then before.

"Now lets see this meowth try and hurt him now."

Relaxation

"Well, here we are. Cherrygrove City."
Gastly seemed unimpressed.
"All right, I know it doesn't look like much, but who knows? Maybe there's some...local thing that's really great? Let's see," he pulled out his town guide, "It says here that Cherrygrove is 'The City of Cute, Fragrant Flowers^TM'."

"All right, so maybe I ought to leave as soon as possible and find something worth looking at. But first, I need to heal Staryu at the Pokemon Center. There it is, right over there by the Pokemart, see?"

They headed into the Pokemon Center.

He sighed as he reentered the city, "Well now who would be able to give me helpful directions." He looked at Gible who was at the moment running around in front of him kicking a rock around, "What the," he paused, there was a comotion with a guy getting hauled off by a cop and a girl following, "They might be helpful," he paused, "But should I involve myself." he thought for a moment, "Since I don't know whats going on I think I'll just watch from the window and step in if neccisary." He walked over towards the station with Gible following him still kicking the rock as he went.

"Hmph. You're not as dumb as you look! Meowth! Use quick attack! He may be tough, but he's not indestructable! All we need to do is whittle him down, inch by inch!" Stephie's Meowth ran up to Combusken, giving it a quick kick to the head, before making it's escape so Combusken couldn't counter attack.

He laughed and waved good-bye to the pair. "Well now look what you did you gave me a nickname." He said looking up at the egg still on his head. He picked it up and decided to carry it normally. He watched the commotion with the officer and laughed to himself, "tolja the cops are just annoying..." He mumbled to himself. He saw a guy with a Gastly walking into town and decided to follow him into the poke center. "Why hello there!" he said poking the Gastly with interest.

Gastly immediately turned and bit his finger.

"Uh... hey. What's up?"

"Also, Gastly, you can let go of his finger now."
