"Sheesh this sucks!" Masuyo said stopping to catch his breath. "If it isnt searching for people in a TV now its searching for people out here! I'd love to just have ONE day where everything is just normal. Maybe have a party or something. Yeah like that'll ever happen." he said as he continued his search

"Meh, I'm not lookin' a gift horse in the mouth." Shinta took his last bite and ordered seconds.

"Order something so I can figure out how much I'll need to pay." Rai said signalling for food.

"I'll just take a ramen bowl." Reika said feeling awkward.

Noticing Reika's expression, Shinta turned to Kishin, "Why don't the two of us tell Fujioka about ourselves? "Break the ice" 'n all that?"

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," said Kishin.

"As you've probably heard by now," he said to Reika, "I'm Kishin Nakai. Um," he paused to think. "There isn't anything too interesting about me, really."

"Okay." Masuyo said outloud as he passed the samegawa riverbank. "I REALLY wanna give up. Its been forty minutes, and I havent seen any girl out by herself. Jesus christ. Maybe I should just go back and say I couldnt find her............NO. Theres no way I can just abandon this mystery girl! What if she needs help!? She could be held hostage! Or fallen and broken her leg! Despite my strong want to give up, I CANNOT QUIT." he began to shout outloud.

"Is that so?" a familiar soft voice came from behind him.

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Masuyo yelled as he turned around to see the person he was searching for all along.

"I take it my Aunt asked you to find me since you live in the apartment? Thats nice of her. Im not use to having adults that actually care about me." she said almost too cheerfully.

"Woah its you? You're the owner's niece?!" Masuyo said to the girl he had ran into earlier. "And Why did you say that? Something the matter?"

"Its nothing." she said with a weak smile. "Tell me, I heard you talking about how you truly wanted to give up on looking for me, yet, you told yourself that you couldnt. Why would you force yourself to do something that causes displeasure? Why bother?" she asked with a surprisingly ominous tone.

"Eh......thats kinda creepy. But isnt it obvious? You cant just give up. That makes you weak. Also theres the fact of "you never know". What if I had given up, and you were in a life or death situation? Then, technically, i'd be responsible for your death because I didnt bother to stop it." Masuyo said shaking his head. "Doing shit we dont wanna do..........its required in life. Theres no escaping it" he added becoming a bit depressed, thinking about the whole shadow incidents.

"I see. I like that answer. It sounds as if you've endured hardship and overcame them through your willpower and optimism. Such a strange boy." the girl replied to Masuyo. "Im Yomiko Asakura by the way. Nice to meet you Mito-san"

"Thanks." Masuyo replied with a smile. "Wait, how do you know my name?" he asked confused.

"My aunt has me help her with the tenant's rooms sometimes. She specifically pointed out that your room has alot of adult magazines and I should never be in there alone with you." she said to him looking disappointed in him.

"SON OF A FUCKING BITCH ARE YOU SERIOUS?"
"Oh I see......." Masuyo said speechless. "Uhh.....well.....if you dont mind can I walk you back to the apartment? Your aunt did order me to see that you go back."

"Alright then." Yomiko replied to Masuyo smiling. "You seem like a good person, besides, all boys are perverts right?" she said with a pure smile.

".................if thats what you girls want to think." Masuyo said still cursing in his head as he began to walk off with her following.

"Well here we are." Masuyo said at the entrance of the apartment. "I guess I'll see you later or something." he said as he scratched the back of his head.

"Mmm. I just hope auntie wont be angry with me." Yomiko said as she looked down at her feet. "I was just going on a evening walk, I suppose I forgot to let her know."

"Just an evening walk? I guess she does this often. Good to know"
"Ah. Well just tell her I held you up. Its kinda true." Masuyo said laughing at himself. "Well im pretty beat, so im going to go back to my room. I'll see you around sometime." Masuyo said as he went inside.

"Bye." Yomiko said as she waited for him to enter the elevator before she headed inside. "He didnt ask for my number or what room I stay in? What a weird guy. The boys back there certainly would have done so, maybe more than that." she said as she went inside.

"...Thank you Kishin for that informative introduction." Shinta sighed, "Well I'm sure you'll learn a bit more about him later anyway. Since we'll be workin' together 'n all."

"Gais its getting late, I say we call it a day and get some rest before tomorrow's TV raid" Masuyo sent a text message to Kishin and Shinta. "Let the other two know too." he added on the end of the message.

"Btw, her name is Yomiko Asakura" he sent in an extra message to Shinta.

Again? Ah well, can't be helped. Shinta put his phone away, "Well Natsuyama, Fujioka, it's been fun. See ya round." Shinta made his way out of the shack, and bumped into someone, "Ow, my bad."
"No, it's my fault too." The person Shinta bumped into said and walked inside. It was Karin, "Hm? Hey, aren't you..." Shinta once again tensed up as she spoke, Why? Who or what is this girl? "freinds with that perv from the store?"
"Huh? I mean," Shinta gathered himself, "sorry about that. He gets like that sometime and it's hard to keep him under control."
"Oh no. It's fine, it's fine," Karin waved her hands, "We talked and he apologized for it so we're cool. I just don't have a name for either of you so..." She paused and looked around suddenly becoming embarrassed, "Sorry. Guess we're making a scene. Are these your friends?"
"Hm? Yeah," Shinta chuckled nervously and motioned, "That one's Kishin Nakai, the girl is Rei...rei...Ah! Reika! Reika Fujioka. Sorry 'bout that. And the one over there is Rai Natsuyama," Karin's eyes widened at the last introduction, "and the one from the store was Masu Mito, and everyone calls me..." before Shinta could finish Karin walked past Shinta and over to Rai. She knelt down and stared intensely at his face.

Kishin watched all of this with an expression of mild confusion.

"*sigh* Figures. Im still upity from all the stuff thats happened today. I cant even begin to THINK about sleeping! Damn it." Masuyo said as he sat up on his bed bored and restless

Karin's face lit up as she screamed "It is you! Raiha!" She lifted Rai out of his seat and got him in a headlock, grinning from ear-to-ear, "How are ya you old bastard?"

"What, what is happening," Reika looked confused and lost by what was unfolding.

Rai couldn't even figure out what was going on, "Don't look at me I don't know what's going on."

"What's that? Don't tell me you forgot about me Raiha," Karin released her grip and pointed a thumb to herself, "It's me, Karin. Karin Okazaki. Remember we used to hang out together in Nara." She leaned in close and whispered into Rai's ear, "You remember right? Tamaki-Aniki and the others?"

"............................hmmmm. I think i'll go to a late night convenience store. Im in the mood for some green tea." Masuyo said as he closed his magazine and slid it in between the mattress. "Got my phone. Got money." he said as he walked out of the room and shut the door behind him as he added

"........dont got my key."

"I gotta admit I never expected to find you out in a place like this. Who would've guessed that that tip I got from Yuichi was the right. Then again I guess we shouldn't be surprised. He always had a way of finding stuff out right?" Karin laughed while the others stared in confusion. The more Karin talk the more Shinta finally realized what that feeling was that came over him. The feeling that shook every fiber of his being: Fear. Absolute fear.

"Fucking hell. Well I guess i'll hope that they're still at the diner. That way I can crash at one of the guys' houses." Masuyo said as he ran down the dark streets towards the diner.

A tall stranger in ripped jeans, no shirt, an unzipped leather jacket and sunglasses stumbles into the diner.

"OLD MAN! OLD MAN!!!!" the stranger yelled as he walked slowly towards the cash register.

"Who's that yelling in my~ oh! W-what are you doing here Jerry?" the owner stuttered, looking nervous.

"Boss wants his money. Hand it over."
"B-but I already payed this mon~"
"JUST GIVE ME THE FUCKING MONEY!"

A small gasp is heard in the corner of the diner where the kids are sitting
"The fuck is this? You kids been watching the whole time?!" the man yelled angrily as he noticed the group. He then whipped a gun out of his back pocket.

"We weren't doing anyt~" the girl siting down tried to protest.
"SHUT UP!" the gangster said, shooting the girl in the shoulder. The sound of the gunshot reverberated throughout the diner, first bringing silence, then screams from the girl and people outside. "OLD MAN! I'LL BE BACK IN THREE DAYS. HAVE THE FUCKING MONEY." He said as he quickly left. The cops arrived on the scene a few minutes later...

"Okay...I think I'm gonna have to call it a night..."

Kishin fell out of his chair.

"What the hell?" Masuyo said hearing a gun shot from the distance and seeing a gangster running off.

"Hey you! Wait!" he yelled as he tried signaling the guy to stop

"Wait," said Kishin, who was still on the floor.

He jumped up. "Did someone just get shot over here?"

"Get out of my way kid!" Jerry grunted as he shoved the kid out of the way. "I don't got time... to deal with your shit..." He mumbled as he continued running off, looking winded.

Shinta collected himself and held his head, The hell was that guy's problem? Wait did he- He looked over to where the man had fired, "Oh...crap."

"What the hell is your problem asshole!?" Masuyo shouted at the angry man as he stomped off. "Whatever. I'll check on the others first."
