The group forged ahead through the tall grass until they came to a house with a Berry tree next to it.

"Well, I wouldn't say that, bro." The group turned to look at the source of the voice.

"Ugh....Can't you just give me the death penalty and get it over with?" Mike begged Jenny, hoping to avoid his elder brother.

"Oh come on Mickie, is that anyway to talk to your brother after you haven't seen him in months?" Laughed the man as he gave Mike a hearty slap on the back. Mike lurched at the impact and grumbled.

"...You have a brother? Oh, and yes Officer, Yes I do."

"Strange." Said the officer.

"Yeah. He's my brother. William....You know him as Bill. As in Bill of the PC pokemon storage system." Mike scowled.

"Oh come on bro," Bill began. "You know I hate it when you call me that so formally. Anyway, I heard about your situation, and I was in Violet city. So I came here to see you."

"Why?"

"Cause your my brother, and I haven't seen you for years. I know you're not that fond of me, but come on man. We ARE family you know."

"Whatever."

"Hm. Excuse me miss, what's you're name?" Bill looked at Jenna. "Are you friends with my brother?"

"Ah! Y-you're Bill?? THAT Bill?? Oh, it's a pleasure to meet you! Ah yes, I'm Jenna. And I guess you could say were friends...we like, just met.", Jenna told him, bowing her head.

"Hahaha. I see my reputation has preceeded me. It's nothing that special. Was there something that you needed from my brother?"

"Ah, well no. Nothing specific. I just...well I dunno. I don't want him in prison or anything...can't he just pay for what he stole and be over with it...?" Jenna asked as she turned to Officer Jenny.

"If only he made it that simple. He broke several laws, least of which is running fromthe police. I'd like to help, he doesn't seem like a bad kid, just misguided, but laws are laws."

"I'm in the room you know..." Mike threw into the conversation.

"Hm. Well how about this, then officer Jenny? I'll cover Mickie's bail, and then I'll have him do work for me to make up for his misdeeds. I'll also cover the expense to the owner of the bar." Bill suggested.

"That seems like a fine idea. See Mike? Just be reasonable like your brother and things work out." Jenny said.

"....." Mike huffed. "So what the hell am I gonna have to do for you Bill? Work on your pokemon system thing? I'm not too good with computers."

"No. This young lady is from New Bark, correct? The one that Professor Elm asked to deliver a package to Violet city. Accompany her till I say you're debt is repaid."

"That's it?" Mike said.

"That's it." Bill confirmed. With that, he wrote a check and officer Jenny removed Mike's handcuffs. Mike grumbled and rubbed his wrists.

"Yaay!! Everyone wins!", Jenna said happily, jumping up and down. "Thank you, Bill, sir!", She thanked as she bowed her head to him again.

"Haha. Please, no need for that." Bill motioned his hand for her to get up. "He's my little brother after all, I ought to take care of him." Mike grumbled some more. "Helping someone you were already helping is a better deal than spending the next year or two in jail, isn't it?"

".....Maybe.."

"Or is it cause of me?" Bill inquired.

"..."

"Ah well, I suppose I should be going. Here's a few bucks to help you out." Bill offered Mike some money, which Mike pushed aside.

"No thanks." Mike scowled more.

"Fine then. I'll give them to Miss. Reeves." Bill handed the money to Jenna and left before she could protest. He waved goodbye.

"Oh- Er, Thank you!", Jenna said quickly. "Here. You take it." She handed him the money. "This is for the Pokeballs from earlier. Now come on, we should leave for Violet soon!". She grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the exit.

Combusken's slash took most of the coins away so he took only a little damage. (HP 70%)

He watched the spectacle with Gible sitting on his head, "Hmm, interesting people." he thought after a short spectacle they started heading for the door and exited, putting Gible on the ground where he bagan playing with a rock again, "Excuse me but are you going to Violet City"

What would happen when he evolves? Then he'd be a heavy-ass Larion, spoiled and trying to get on top of my head. He and I would end up falling over."

Combusken takes a quick hit to the gut, but quickly regains balance. (HP 60%)

"Ok combusken time to end this quickly soon use Focus energy!"

Combusken starts focusing all his energy! com...bus...ken!

"Well I was wondering I could tag along to Violet City, considering I have no idea how to get there, I came here from Kanto recently and I have a horrible sense of direction, I can be helpful I know a lot about different pokemon and their enviroments" he said pausing and looking at Gible who seemed to be happy to be getting attention, "By the way I'm Allen, and he's Gible, I tried nicknaming him but nothing really seemed to fit and he didn't seem to like any I came up with."
