The Pokemon Roleplay

"Alright Eevee! Quick! Run up and use Sand Attack!", Jenna shouted as her Eevee took action. The Eevee ran towards Haywire then turned around to kick sand in it's face with it's back legs.

"Haywire! Run up and use Headbutt!" Mike quickly snapped into action. Haywire snapped up as well and ran up to Eevee giving it a headbutt before it could pull off sand attack.

Full Force!

Michael had a small notepad out and was writing furiously.
"Using speed to interrupt attacks, got it."
He looked over at Gastly. "You don't think this is overkill, do you?"
In response, Gastly started spinning in the other direction.

"Eevee!", The Eevee squealed as it was hit with the headbutt. "Aahh! No! Eevee! Eevee, use Quick Attack!", Jenna shouted as Eevee stood back up and charged at Haywire with lightning speed.

"Haywire. Use static. Don't let him near you without taking damage too." Mike said. Haywire yelped in acknowledgement and his body glowed with electric fury.

"Ah! Eevee! Stop and use Sand Attack again!", Jenna said as Eevee stopped in it's tracks and kicked sand at Haywire.

"Hm. Not bad. Using Sand attack didn't do damage, but makes it difficult for Haywire to find you. Unfortunetly, I can counter that effect. Haywire! Use the charged spark and add it's power for a shockwave."

"Flaff!" The charge from Haywire's static combined with it's Shockwave and pulsed out an electric wave.

"It might not be as powerful as a direct hit with all that energy, but it's widespread, making it impossible for Eevee to avoid." Mike continued.

"Aah!! Eevee!", Jenna said as Eevee was hit with the Shockwave. "Come on, Eevee! You can do it!", Jenna encouraged as Eevee stuggled to stand up. "Eev..", soon after the Eevee collapsed.

"Nice going Haywire." Haywire yelped in approval. "You too Eevee. You were able to completely match up to Jenna's every command. And for a new pokemon and having it's first battle, going up against my well traveled Haywire, you did pretty good."

"You did good, Eevee. You can rest now.", Jenna returned Eevee to it's pokeball as she petted it's head. "Huh? Really?? Ya think so?", Jenna asked as she acknowledged Mike's comments.

"Yeah. Eevee did good for a beginner. And you were able to react when things didn't go according to plan. Until it was impossible to avoid taking damage. Had your Eevee been on equal standing with Haywire, it would have been able to withstand the attack, and we'd still be battling. Ready for round two?" He held up his pokeball and Haywire returned.

"Oh! Right! You ready Pichu?", Jenna turned to her pichu who was standing next to her. "Pi!", Pichu squeaked in acknowledgment as she jumped up and ran in front of Jenna.

"Well, this isn't as evenly matched as I'd have hoped, but it's pretty informative," Michael remarked to Gastly, without looking up from his notepad. "Charging with electricity, eh..."
In response, Gastly began to spin clockwise. He had been paying close attention to the battle as well, probably.

"Alright, let's try something a little easier for you. Go Metalmech!" Mike tossed another pokeball, and Metalmech came out with a squeal.

"Aron!" It cried.

"Allow me to get started this round. We'll take it to the offensive Metalmech. Use Metal Claw!" Metalmech charged in at Pichu with unusually high speed for an aron.

"Hm...pretty quick for a steel...guess we'll have to fix that. Pichu! Dodge it! Jump in the air and use Thunder Wave!", Jenna shouted as Pichu took action. It quickly leapt into the air and let out a small jolt of electricity.

"Arrrron" Metalmech took the hit and became unable to move.

"Hm. Nice. That'll slow him down a bit for sure...." Mike said to himself. "Keep aware Metalmech! Focus on dodging and keeping defense up! Use Iron Defense!"

"Aron!" Metalmech stayed where he was, but his metal armor glistened as it grew tougher.

"Hm, if he's going to raise his defense, guess I shouldn't attack physically...Pichu! Thundershock!". "Pichuu!!", Pichu ran closer and let loose a jolt of electricity at Aron.

"Alright Metalmech! Pay attention! Dodge it! Then use mudslap! Then follow up with Iron head!"

"Aron!" Metalmech avoided the hit mostly, taking slight damage from it, then he used mudslap towards Pichu.

"Crap! Not Mudslap! Pichu! Quick! Dodge it and use Thundershock again!". "Pii!", Pichu jumped and barely dodged the mudslap, and quickly followed up with another Thundershock.

"Now! Use Iron head!" Mike called.

"Aron!!!" Metalmech charged in and gave Pichu a solid iron head, avoiding the thundershock, but it stopped moving, from being paralyzed by the thunder wave.

Michael cringed. "That's some bad luck...if a mud slap connects, I can't see Pichu lasting for much longer-it'd short out its electricity in a second."
Gastly had stopped spinning and was now watching more intently, head tilted to one side.

"Pichuu!!", Pichu was knocked back, it fell to the ground and quickly stood back up. "Alright! Now's our chance Pichu! Thundershock one more time!", Jenna commanded as Pichu charged another jolt of electricity.

"Aron!!" Metalmech took the hit from the thundershock.

"Metalmech! Hang in there! You good for one more attack?" Mike's Aron yelped and stood to it's feet. "Good! Now! It's all or nothing! Use mud slap!"

"Aron!!!" Putting all it's energy into the mud slap, Metalmech sent mud flying at Pichu.

"Pichu! Use Quick Attack to dodge it!", Pichu started to attack, but growing weary from the battle, couldn't muster the energy to dodge in time. "Pii!", Pichu fell back and hit the ground, somehow managing to stand back up. "That's the spirit Pichu! One Tackle oughta do it!", Jenna commanded as Pichu started to run towards Aron, though not as fast as before.

"Wow. That Pichu's tougher than it looks, enduring an attack like that." Notepad abandoned, Michael was focused on watching the fight, while Gastly retrieved the dropped pen with his mouth.
