"Be careful about those two, er, moreso Vlad." Chris told Ty concerned. "I noticed that he put the ones hes not fond of up front, so if something were to suddenly jump out and unleash its power, we'd be killed and those two have a higher chance of escaping. He has Cassandra near him cause he more or less agrees with her mind set and she doesn't irritate him. Keep an eye on him, and try everything possible to avoid having to rely on him in a life and death situation. Rely on Cassandra and your little sister before him. She's concerned about herself, but she has more compassion than that guy and may give in and stick by us if things get rough. I cant say the same for Vlad."

Ty nods his head. "I know. Don't like asking you but I want Mia out. Out of the city. Her clock is gone. Want to keep it that way. Not a hero."

"We should lay low for a while." Chris said. "Who knows what could happen. Society could see us as "infected" or something and gun us down on first sight. We may be better off laying low at the cake shop and survive. It would be horrible if we fight so hard to escape just to be killed by our own people seconds after thinking we reached salvation."

Ty nods his head understandingly. "Group's safer for now. Will test it. But Mia comes first." He walks slowly back toward the others.

"I hear ya." he said patting Ty on his head. "Just know this, im with you two."

Heavy hitter? Whatever? Cassandra nodded, "Like, sure thing."

"Hey Cassandra can I talk to you?" Chris said gesturing for her to come over across the street.

Mildly confused Cassandra crossed the street and asked, "What's up?"

'Its not AS important with you but I figured i'd fill you in since you dont seem like a bad person." Chris started. "Just be extra wary of that Vlad character. I wanted to trust him but, did you notice what he did? He put everyone he dislikes upfront, and you and himself in the back. I mean seriously? You a heavy hitter? No offence but......you have a fairy n all." Chris said laughing. "Then again so do I. But anyways, why would the heavy hitters be in the BACK, and the fragile weaklings up front? He put all the CHILDREN infront of him. Hes just using us as pawns for his own safety. If something were to jump out at us and wipe us out, hes behind everyone, so he has a better chance of slipping away alive. I figured i'd let you know about that, since if hes willing to get kids killed for him without a care, I figure that you are no exception."

Cassandra took a moment to register what Chris said, "Uh-huh. Wow, that's messed up. I mean I kinda thought the same thing about the kids in the front but I thought he knew something I didn't. Thanks for the advice, Chris. By the way, Lilim's not a fairy she's, like, a femme or something like that. I'm only saying that because if you call her a fairy when she's out she will never shut up about it."

"Uh, I see. I guess I should tell you that the jack bros arent calling you a Hoe whenever they say "Ho." They just.........say it. Alot." Chris said to Cassandra as they returned to the group

"Cassandra giggled and gave a genuine smile, "Thanks for the heads up."

"Cwiss what were you doing!?" Mary yelled at chris.

"Nothing nothing!" Chris said waving his hands

"Liar! Boo!" she said as she stuck her tounge out.

"Sorry Mary," Cassandra said leaning towards the child, "We were talking about grown-up stuff."

"HUH?" Mary shouted shocked. "My parents tell me that all the time when they wont let me sleep with them at night!"

Chris began to choke on a piece of a candy bar he started eating

Cassandra struggled to find the right words, "Um...well. I didn't mean what they meant but...oh, look I think my COMP's messing up. I'd better fix it. Over there." She quickly darted away from the confused child.

"What I doooooooooo?" Mary asked confused.

"Ack hrgkch!" Chris finally coughed up the piece of candy. "Nothing. Nothing at all."

"That Chris character seems to be chatting up the rest of the group. Relying on these kids may not have been a smart idea after all. Could be more trouble then they're worth. Still, they're extra bodies, and extra eyes. So, shall we head off?" Vlad asked. "Or are there other things to discuss?" He looked over at Chris.

"Besides Adult things?" he said jokingly.

"Wait what adult thi-- Oh nevermind..." says Mia embarassed.

"Hahahah. Im kidding." Chris said. "Lets get going."

Vlad motioned for the two to go first.

"We dont have to walk in your little formation on the way there. Its the streets, not the site of the explosion or deaths." Chris said as he grabbed Mary and handed her to Cassandra. "Keep an eye on her for me kay?"

"...Fair enough. But keep your eyes and ears open. And be wary of people too. They might want us dead just as much as the demons."

"True that." Chris said. "We cant really trust others with comps. They could just as well try killing us for some reason."
