Cein noted the yawn, "Well Ms.Kaltzburg, I suggest you turn in for the night," he reached into his wallet, "Here is the money for spending the night here, we will talk more tomorrow." He stood and walked off toward his room.

"Thanks," Emi said looking at the money but noticing he was already heading off to his room, "Alright, guess talking is tomorrow then." she thought, as she payed for her room and went towards her own.

"It was short, but nice. Take care, Sir Marcus, and best of luck with your research." Noah bowed and left the city. "Miss Lucy! Wait up!"

"What?" Lucy snarled. Placing her hands on her hips.

Noah waved as he approached Lucy. Not noticing her annoyance he smiled and said, "If you have nowhere else to go, I was wondering if you'd like to become traveling partners."

"....Why?" Lucy said coldly. Surprised in herself for even considering it.

"No real reason," Noah stated bluntly, "You seem nice and it is always helpful to have a party-I mean group when you are going on an adventure. That is all there is."

"Nice?" Lucy looked perplexed. "Er. F-fine I guess...." Caught off guard, Lucy answered without thinking. "W-well, I had nowhere in mind planned. Where were you headed?"

"I have an idea. But first," Noah sat down and pulled a piece of paper and a pen from his backpack. He silently wrote for a minute and folded up the paper, "I need to send this."

"Er. Okay...What is it?"

"A letter," Noah explained, "I meant to send it when I arrived in Aspio but I didn't have anything to write about yet." He put away his pen and made his way to the city.

Well it's obviously a letter. Lucy scowled. "Well, who are you sending it too? Relatives?" She looked over his shoulder, curious.

Cein rose from his sleep early like he always did, he checked his weapons and pack then headed out the of the inn heading towards the job board located in the center square, "I need an assignment for one," he though to himself, "Might want to hurry incase she's an early riser." he scanned through the jobs available, one caught his eye, "Monsters near Torim Harbor, doesn't sound too hard, probably just some wolves or something." he pulled the assignment off the board and headed back towards the inn.

"My parents. I promised them that I would write to them whenever I reached a city." Noah took a deep breath as he went to get his letter sent, "It shows them that I am doing well."

Emi rolled out of bed and hit the floor, "Oww," she stared at the ceiling for a moment, "Well I need to get up anyway" she thought noting the light filling the sky, "Wonder what Mr. Mercaid is doing."

"And that you're still alive." Lucy added.

Noah chuckled, "Yes that too. So tell me Miss Lucy, have you ever been to Zaphias?"

"Eh. A couple of times. Pretty stuffy place. Unless you hang out in the lower quarter. That's not too bad." Lucy stretched her arms. "Is that where you're headed?"

"I plan too," Noah replied as he started walking, "I think we may have stumbled across something interesting. Oh that reminds me, how long were you working for Sir Marcus?"

"Eh? Not long. Three days. Week and a half if you include when I escorted him. But as far as working for him directly it was three days. And what exactly are you planning?" Lucy was starting to get interested in Noah, curious for what he might have in store.

Noah placed a hand on his chin, "Nothing yet. I am merely following a hunch I have. I will tell you this however: I think that Sir Marcus was right about seeing us again." The question is: Will he be alone when he does?

"Ugh. That guy's probably gonna stalk me..." Oblivious to what Noah meant. "Though...that guy is pretty dangerous...I wouldn't want to get involved with what he's doing again."

"Judging from what I heard in the ruins, I am inclined to agree with you," Noah laughed nervously, "Or was that a team effort?"

"Sh-shut up..." Upset by the reminder of her inability during that match, she snapped. "...I'm not sure what his motives are either. He seems moral enough. But I don't trust the empire all that much..."

Cein entered the inn, and knocked on Emi's door, "Ms. Kaltzburg are you awake yet." he sighed crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall next to the door.
