"I'd love to insta heal like Banshee from the Z-men, but im a human. No uber steel claws or insta heals. Ah screw it, I can tell being around people is irritating you. Just leave us. We'll manage." Chris said

"...I don't have too much time to spare." Vlad picked up Chris. "You kids come along too. I'm gonna find someplace to put you. At any rate, standing outside a burning school isn't a good idea."

"And since you keep saying that, that means you plan to do something about the explosion thats gonna kill several hundred people." Chris said.

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? People are gonna die?" Mary said.

Vlad tried to control his irritation stemming from Mary's squeal. "I don't exactly have a choice. Considering you know about the explosion, you must get the laplace mail. Then you've seen my name. I'm Vlad."

"What?!" exclaimed Mia, suprised "If you're the Vlad from the mail then you're in trouble, you'll be killed. Ty looks at Vlad suspiciously, after a bit of deep thought he puts his hand on Mia's shoulder interupting her nervous speech.

"Why you?" he asks Vlad.

"Yeah. Why are you specifically being targeted?" Chris asked Vlad

"Beats me." Vlad lied. "Perhaps someone had a grudge against me before this lock down and was too cowardly to try anything till he got this demon power. I don't really know."

"With all the dying going on, I highly doubt a random coldblooded killing would make a place in the almighty laplace mail..........." Chris said suspicious

"Perhaps my death holds more significance? I'm unsure myself. The point is, I'm hoping that stopping the other deaths today will alter fate enough to give me an extra chance at life." Vlad explained.

"What a coincidence. I wanted to do something about the explosion too. Do you have any leads on it yet?" Chris asked.

"Nope. I have seen a few people around with 0s. But that could mean anything."

"Whatever you do count us in. Im Mia and this is Ty, by the way. Whos your new friend Chris? Also we should probably head back to see if CC will join us and maybe we can work out a plan there."

"I doubt she's gonna help." Chris said with a chuckle. "Imagine her if she were there with us. "Oh my gawwwwwwwwddddd this smoke is like totally ruining my hairrrrrrrrrr!" " he said imitating CC's voice

"I doubt that children of their age will help any further than she will." Vlad said, nodding his head toward Ty and Mia.

"So, what are you gonna do now?" Lilim asked floating playfully behind Cassandra.
"What do you mean?" Cassandra asked back, surveying the park area.
"Obviously I mean are you gonna do something about the mail or not. Those guys managed to help out and even lived."
"And I care because...? They're just doing what they want to right? So like, I should be able to do what I want to," Cassandra pointed at the vending machine in front of her, "This one."
"Fine," Lilim placed her hand on the machine and let out a current of electricity. Several cans fell out of the machine and she sighed as Cassandra picked one up and opened it, "I don't really care about saving lives but this is not how I'd like my powers to be used."
"Shut up." Cassandra took a drink from her can.

"Actually, these kids are pretty handy." Chris said sticking up for Ty and Mia. "more useful than the police thats for sure!"

"Is that so?" Vlad asked half-heartedly.

"Yep." Chris said.

"..." Vlad looked at his watch. 14:00. "I have two hours left before the people are killed at the museum. I have to get going." He said.

"You really should let us help" said Mia eagerly. "at the very least come with us to the bakery on the way to the museum. Even if CC does seem a bit selfish, we should at least keep our appointment. And we could definitley get some supplies and plan a bit while we go there. You don't have to do this by yourself. We wanna help save people too, and we should all stick together. Besides, we owe you for saving Chris."

"Oh yea we have to meet an hour before hand to see who all is in on saving those people. Good job, running around from a demon with a kid made me forget." Chris said scratching his head. "Who knows? CC may join just because she has nothing better to do."

"....This is tiresome.." Vlad said to himself. "...I'll travel with you for now, however, my life is on the line here. If at any point I see this to be detrimental to my health, I'm leaving without hesitation. Understood?"

"Safety first. Got it. Let's go." says Mia with a newly serious expression taking the lead as the group heads toward the bakery.

"..." Vlad was at the back of the group. Is this a wise idea? Traveling with a group is a fairly good idea, however they're a bunch of kids. I'd hate to say it, but I have to be concerned with myself alone at the moment. I don't have the time to take to be concerned with these kids.

The group arrives at the bakery without incident.

"CC..." Mia calls out hopefully "Are you in here?"
